The northern regions of Halerond are cold and abrasive. In the western and northwestern areas, forests and taigas are abundant. Central Halerond is a vast openness of plains, and some mountains within the northern tundra. To the east lies the great Ztuluun Tuy Forest, just below the frozen wasteland, a host of glaciers in the northeast. The Southern regions of Halerond are rocky, with the Scarlett Sands desert in the southeast.

History

Notable Wars
Founding Story

Halerond was initially inhabited by the Lydans, a primitive humanoid-race that perhaps evolved to become Man following settlement there. Early civilizations were mostly peaceful and prosperous for millenia, until the surge of humankind. As man waged war on man, the Empire that the Lydans had formerly built became a shadow of countries on the rise. By the Late Dawn, many races in Halerond had established their own borders to keep themselves from the chaos of the humans.
