History
Back before enlightenment, our ancestors emerged from the primordial ooze. One look towards the sky assured them that they were created for a purpose. Many lives later, as their hill grew to a mighty spire, they laid witness to excellence incarnate. They dropped prostrate as the peak exploded on its side, allowing a celestial being to escape and take flight. They revered this entity, offering bounties a plenty in hopes that it would allow them to live in its shadow. Eventually, the great being tore the remnants of the spire from the mountain and inverted it. The being lowered the inverted spire to the ground and brought the followers, some fearful, onto it and gave them basic structures to live in. As time transpired, the being, Sylvanus Aranda Miricondi Icius, or Sami to her devoted followers, explored many facets of life, including technology. Now, a floating city powered by water and lightning, is home to an advanced civilization. Sylvanus hasn't been seen in two millennia. The only knowledge of who she is, is woven into tales of her greatness and an oddly lifelike statute in the palace.
Scholars believe Dra'qun Tha was founded 300,000 years after Kurbos cooled to habitable levels, when the first frost giant died of old age.
Archaics (archaeologists) found evidence of dragon shrines dating back to Kurbos' creation.
-9362: Gilthax FIremaw raided the village of Dra'qun Tha. Many were slaughtered, but Gilthax eventually fell by the hand of Empress Sylvanus, in -9342.
