Civ Zone

General Description

The most hospitable zone of Exul, where Exans are the dominant species. Whereas the Wild Zone is pitch black, and the Light Zone is seared by constant sunlight, the Civ Zone strikes a shaky balance with a variable day-night cycle that averages to twelve hours of sunlight and forty to fifty hours of darkness. It forms a band that snakes through the middle of the Realm's surface, reaching only about 2500 square miles wide at the most. The highest forms of life Exul has to offer call it home, with a cool climate that caters most to frigiexans. Warmer climates near the center, as well as pockets of heat created by improper light scattering, attract the short-feathered ferviexans.

Frigis and fervis each have a capital city from which much of their culture flows, and exans of other subspecies are generally not welcome there. Mortuexans, seen as lesser creatures, do not have the same rights.
