Overview
The Coke Swamps
Swamp
The Coke Swamps are a group of swamps that are extremely dense with flora. They produce copious amounts of oxygen, which are utilized by the abnormally sized Arthropods to make them much larger then Arthropod species outside of this area. Large trees populate this area. Many fish call this area home, along with Amphibians, basal Synapsids, and basal Diapsids. Large vertebrates like Dinosaurs and Mammals are extremely uncommon in this area, as the forest is hard to traverse through, although Sauropods and large Hadrosaurs sometimes knock down trees to get to their leaves and other plants that surround them.
Geography
The Coke Swamps are characterized by the flora that thrives here. Large tree-club mosses like the scale-trees Lepidodendron and Sigillaria and tree-horsetails like Calamites make up the canopy of these swamps. smaller horsetails and ferns cover the forest floor, and in some parts, tree-ferns like Psaronius and the basal conifer Walchia are also present. The trees present here are exclusive to these areas (although scarcely present in a few other environments.) Their extremely local range stems from the fact that they cannot compete with the much more advanced conifers and angiosperms for the tree-niche.
The Coke Swamps are hot and humid. Precipitation is common and supports the massive amount of vegetation.
