A type of Sensecraft involving the manipulation of pain. Sometimes called "paincraft." Associated with the color red.

The most common application of Nocimancy is, of course, eliminating pain. Crafters may use it to endure physically difficult or dangerous situations, sometimes even keeping the pain dulled for extended periods of time until they're able to find sufficient treatment. Those with chronic illnesses may turn to Nocimancy to manage their symptoms in this manner. It can be addictive, though, and many public resources are available to help Nocimancers balance their needs with taking on an allowable amount of mutations.

Increasing sensitivity to pain is generally an aspect only used on others -- particularly in combat situations, where it can disable an opponent when combined with even a superficial wound -- but some Nocimancers increase their own pain to improve focus and awareness.

Nocimancy hallucinations can cause the target to feel phantom pain in an area and manner of the Crafter's choosing. While no wounds can actually be inflicted, the target may eventually go into shock if the effect is sustained for long enough.
