Lydan
The first humanoid race which is believed to have later evolved into the common Man.
Ancient Human
Looks
Pale-white to pale-blue skin.
Lanky bodies, often between 7-8 feet tall.
The extravagance of the Lydans is most typically exerted in their silk and cloth attire. Beautiful garments are a must in a highly sophisticated society.
Large, brilliant eyes, ranging from white to blue hues.
Traits
Fearless and powerful, quick on their feet and unmatched rangers of the world. The Lydans learned to hunt monsters and beasts from their Onni companions, using instead their grace and speed to outmaneuver foes.
In addition, the Lydans seem to hold a natural gift for Sylviation.

Lydans are monotheistic beings who worship Ardunnac, the Creator.
The Lydans are the second most common populace on Halerond. They are primarily located in Lydelle, and the more central provinces.
Lydans are famous for producing some of the most exquisite meals, combining crops and game.
The Lydans are an extremely wealthy race with extravagant cityscapes and lifestyles.
Lydans are craftsmen and architects, as well as guardians and monster hunters.
Powerful long-range weaponry including Trebuchets, Ballistae, Heavy Crossbows, and other exotic weaponry. Lydans are not riders, but pilots, favoring the graceful Griffons and Hippogriffons to traverse the land.
The Empire's structure was forged by the Lydan's example during the Late Dawn. At Zenith, the Lydans continue to push humankind towards a Republic body.
Grand festivities and parties are a must at every holiday-- the Lydans celebrate over 200 holidays per year.

The Lydans forged the first Empire at the beginning of the Late Dawn, focusing primarily on city building and protection of their people. When Humankind grew interest in politics, the Lydans seceded from leadership roles and offered, instead, to serve as Guardians and the builders of the New World.
