Overview
Converted Werewolf
This type of werewolf is turned via a bite from another turned werewolf. It does not work if it is a born werewolf, as they stem from two different spells. If a human is bitten by this type of werewolf, they will transform under the next full moon. If they are bitten by this type of werewolf a second time before their first transformation, the transformation will be permanent.
Notes
If a human is bitten by this type of werewolf, there is a short period of time in which the effects can be reversed. If a witch is able to acquire clawwood(bark on a tree that has curled from a werewolf clawing it) and cast a spell to reverse the effects, the person who was bitten will remain a human, but the spell must occur before the person's first full moon transformation. Once the first transformation has occurred, the effects are permanent.
People who become this species tend to become a bit more traditionally masculine(specifically, physical strength, general build, and body hair) after their first transformation, leading to a few trans men over the years using this as a bit of an alternative to HRT.
This type of werewolf is nearly unkillable but not immortal. Typical human methods of death will not work on these people, but they do continue to age, albeit slower than humans do. They can be killed by taking wood to the heart, most commonly in the form of a stake but any wood will do.
If this type of werewolf has a child with any creature that does not add any magical abilities, the child will be human, as there are no genetics to pass on. The child will be considered a human birth.
Pack dynamics of this type of werewolf tend to be much more similar to the conventional idea of pack dynamics, with an alpha being in charge and all that. This is based on the fact that this pack dynamic is based on wolves in captivity when grouped with random other wolves, which is what these werewolves tend to be - they don't have a werewolf family to be their pack, so their only options are to group up with other packless wolves and form their own, new packs. These werewolves are very likely to end up with the whole "found family" thing going on.
