Overview
Looks
Similar to human, with males usually being less muscular.
Similar to human, with some individuals having more cold, greenish tint
Average male height: 168cm
Average female height: 180cm
They use natural materials, such as silk (created from silk moths cocoons; used mainly by those higher in hierarchy), ramie fibers (made from herbaceous perennial plants), hemp and sisal (rarely cotton or linen, as those materials must be imported).
Colors of typical, everyday clothing are different hues of greens, browns, sometimes blues. Black, white and red clothing is reserved for special ocassions, with only royal people or those with special permission from Empress are allowed to wear outfits with mixed colors.
Their hairstyles are short or long but kept in simple, easily made hairdos (this does not apply to royals).
Traits
Biggest difference between syrinxes and humans comes from fiber distribution in muscles, with syrinxes having a much higher fraction of fast fibers than humans, on average. (Syrinx muscle is composed of approximately 50 percent fast-twitch fibers, compared to about 40 percent in humans.) It means that Syrinx outperform humans in pulling and jumping tasks.
In short- they are much more better tree climbers then humans, and going into fist fight with them is not the best idea.
Syrinxes come from climate, that is warm and humid all year round. They do not take sudden temperature changes well, that's why they travel very rarely towards main continent. Deserts and frozen lands are their biggest weakness- to survive a trip to these places it would require them to strenghen their immune systems with herbs and/or magic for months before the jurney.
As half of their towns are made out of wood and placed on trees, fire is their biggest enemy. Although procentage of humidity in Sylazora is so high that plants don't catch on fire easily, more then half of Syrinx people are born with pyrophobia.
