Physical Characteristics

Physical Characteristics

Not to be confused with the Ghosts of The Hereafter, Star Ghosts are Energy Beings shaped like five-pointed stars, with a face in the middle and five arms, or "points," extending outwards with flexible ranges of motion. Their bodies are almost completely flat and always one solid color, though the hue can be anything imaginable. Unlike most energy beings, they appear solid and their colors are vibrant thanks to their high density. There are no size variations between individuals; all Star Ghosts are exactly three feet in height. Though their color is the easiest way to distinguish one from another, some may grow facial hair that adds another dimension to their individuality.

Star Ghosts are born from a gigantic energy core at the center of the Omega Star and remain invisibly connected to it for their entire lives. If the core gains power, so do the Star Ghosts, and if the core were to be destroyed, all of them would die out. They are not capable of autonomous reproduction. Instead, their population is controlled by the core, which creates a new Star Ghost when one is lost, keeping their count constant across the planet. This rule is maintained by the Star Wand, which prevents the core from indiscriminately spitting up new Star Ghosts as it did in the days before the Wand's creation.

As energy beings, Star Ghosts do not age, but they can be mortally wounded. Severing a single point is not enough, however, as Star Ghosts are capable of regenerating their points over a long period of time by drawing energy from the air around them. If three points are severed before any can grow back, most Star Ghosts will not recover, and losing all five is always fatal.

Magical Characteristics

Magical Characteristics

Rather than relying on their flimsy bodies to carry them, Star Ghosts get around by hovering. They are capable of reaching any height they please, though few can move faster than the average human running speed. Their status as energy beings affords them the ability to phase through solid matter as well.

Most Star Ghosts also have a limited amount of Space Magic that allows them to travel to the Omega Star and back, as well as take others.

Their most notable magical trait is the Omega Power, a single unique ability each individual has.

Behavioral Characteristics

Behavioral Characteristics

Because Star Ghosts are all technically "related," having come from the exact same source, they feel a close familial bond to each other regardless of distance. Though some Star Ghosts may become friends and others, rivals, in the end there is little true animosity between them and the Omega Star has a neighborly vibe unlike any other planet. Sharing the knowledge of its location and how to access it with outsiders is discouraged so as to not disturb the peace.

The entire species is led by the Original Seven, the first Star Ghosts to ever exist.
