Overview
Monterism
A self-sustaining underground cult where humans are seduced into having their souls taken from their bodies in order to transfer them to the Afterlife without killing them.
Drone Army
History
After William Griffin killed his friend Theodore Daniels on accident and the entire La Magie Village turned against him, he escaped into the Bermuda Woods, dug the Soutterrain Tunnel and started Monterism as an alternative to earthly life.
Beliefs
•The Afterlife exists
•Souls exist
•Souls are the power source for magic
•Suffering must be avoided at most costs
•Suffering cannot be completely avoided in this life
•Therefore, life is better lived in the Afterlife
•Separation of the soul and body is okay, but murder of the body is wrong
•Minimal suffering is necessary to carry out the transfer from this life to the next
•If an Intact human is in the Tunnel, their soul must be taken from their body (recruited, or Droned)
•All taken souls must be encased in Crystal Amulets
•Once a soul has been taken and encased, it must be used to either power magic for recruitment purposes or transferred to the Afterlife
•Recruiter Drones must recruit Intact humans by performing the Soul Extraction Spell
•Guard Drones must guard extremely sensitive areas of the Tunnel - like the Intacte Prison, the Kitchen or the Transfer Circle - and catch/imprison Intactes who the Recruiters failed to Drone
•Drone Wolves must lead intact humans to have their souls taken
•All Perpetual Intactes must be sought out and imprisoned
Unknown, but thought to be more pleasant than the physical plane
Traditions
The soul of a human is taken from their body using the Navire Elixir, the Soul Extraction Spell and an empty Crystal Amulet.
