Overview
The Emerald Basin Ambush
This event is when a force comprised of 10,000 Craphishians, Irkens, and the empire tried to execute a stealth military operation on Aegaph to try and take it over, due to it being the capital of The Spino Space Federation. They had civilians taken as prisoners with them. they lost a few of their forces while crossing the barren central desert of North by a nesting pair of Utahraptors while they were trying to eat their eggs as food. They went west from there and ended up in the Emerald Basin. They realized there was a large river in the Emerald Basin that they had to cross in order to reach the strategic military target. The waters of the river were murky and visibility was incredibly low. There was also a thunderstorm in the area and a large amount of fog and rain set in, with flashes of lighting occasionally going off. They had some boats with them to carry the vehicles across, but most of them had to swim across. The first forces took the plunge and started swimming across. They were all not aware of the dangers the water posed. The first casualty arose when a Craphishian soldier was pulled underwater by a Deinosuchus. Some of them noticed the blood and limbs floating in the water and started shouting that there was something in the water. More soldiers started being devoured and soon, the whole force knew that there were things in the water. They were all on high alert, and the ones on boats had their weapons drawn. Suddenly, a sail poked out of the water and a stormtrooper had his legs ripped off by an adolescent Spinosaurus. The boat forces started shooting at the Spinosaurus, causing it to screech in pain and bleed profusely. Suddenly, one of the boats flipped over upsidedown and everyone and the vehicle it was carrying fell off. It was an adult Spinosaurus, the mother other the adolescent. She started ripping the helpless soldiers in half and apart with her claws and teeth. Other predators joined in, like Deinosuchus and Sarcosuchus. The scene became a bloodfest, as many, many soldiers were ripped apart in horrific ways. Not even the boaters were safe, as all the boats were Attacked directly, or flipped over. The family of Spinosaurus and other animals destroyed the force and left their numbers in the hundreds. Thousands of dismembered parts and organs washed ashore after that. It left a warning to other invaders of Aegaph not to mess with nature.
