Overview
Bailey in the Sky With Diamonds
they run around the galaxy being gay and doing crimes
Science fiction
History
Not so long ago, a tyrannical government from Earth known as the Second Republic of the People colonized most of the galaxy and began exploiting many planets for their resources and people. When the Republic began to overlook serious crime and black market deals that were going on, some people began to question and doubt the Republic's "good intentions". They started working against the Republic in whatever ways they could. The most prominent case of this is the crew of the Bailey, made up of young criminals who accidentally stumble into the life of rebellion while attempting to pull a heist on a museum.
Systems

Very advanced. Think Star Wars level tech. MORE DETAIL LATER
Notes
Races:
There are plenty of different species throughout the galaxy, but only two are really mentioned throughout the entirety of the book.
Earthens: Self-explanatory. The same as humans on our Earth. They are seen as colonizers who take what is not theirs by the rest of the galaxy.
Tal'lesans: The native people of the Tal'lesa system. They carry similar traits to humans, especially regarding skin color (however their skin never gets pale--it ranges from a dark tan to a dark brown) and their ears are extended and pointed for better hearing in the dark rainforests on their planet. Their eyes are usually a bright gray or purple color and their irises are rings for better sight in the dark. Due to their similarities to humans, they're often mistaken as Earthen and have to work hard to maintain their individual identity.
Neriath:
Teams:
There are three main crews of the galaxy who work together against the Earthen Republic.
The Bailey:
The Bailey crew is a group of six teens from different backgrounds who started off attempting to pull a simple job before they were thrust into rebellion. Their crew lineup is as follows:
[Robin Luez]: A very bitter Earthen strategist and smuggler
Elidi Nassaj: The caring Earthen medical officer
Maggie Prier: The Neriath kleptomaniac and stealth expert
Lybra San Disu: The flirtatious Earthen pilot and captain
Ali'sen-dera: The sarcastic Tal'lesan mechanic
The Blackway
The crew of the Blackway is made of old veterans who transport medical supplies to those who can't escape the war. The crew lineup is listed:
Captain Diato Lik-ait: A determined Rowathi pilot
Brealie "Brandy" Hernandez: An Earthen mechanic with a soft spot for kids
Ten'uel-dev "Ten": The youngest of any of the crews (16 years old), Brandy's adopted Tal'lesan son
