Foxtrot

Description

A planet that is split in half by a giant chasm that used to have bridges crossing over them. One is mostly a city and the other is more of a forest filled with fae and other creatures. There is a desert that surrounds the chasm.

The main series is basically about a man named Jean who ends up having to steal an amulet from a government official to send it back to a frost spirit that threatens to send their world into an eternal winter. He ends up on an adventure and ends up in many places and even falls in love properly but when he puts the amulet back to where it belongs he ends up being cursed to stay in the cave forever because if he leaves he will cause Foxtrot to fall into an eternal winter

Other Series Plans: A series based at least 380 years later. In the 368th year, Jean gives up and leaves the cave, therefore, causing Foxtrot to fall into an eternal winter. In the 400th year (so 32 years later) some kids decide to try and find the frost spirit (Jean) and kill it. Alas, they meet Zai and then it turns into a hunt for him to turn him back to normal again and save their world.

History

It was originally only covered in aliens and some fantasy creatures. It was found by exploring humans who crashed into it and decided this would be a great place to live. They had more people come but the Elves didn't want them there and they believed they were destroying their land and so there was a war that ran for years. Millions died and once they realised that the carnage would not do them well. The two sides came to an agreement to not get in each other's way. This made it so one side was inhabited mostly by humans and the other by the original folk.

Notes

Inspiration

I was in a planet creating group and ended up creating Foxtrot. I then decided to take it a step further and to try and write series about individuals who live there

Notes

Foxtrot is split in half by a giant chasm. One side has forest and the other side has a thriving modern civilisation of many different species and folk. Around The Chasm it is mostly desert that gets so hot that most species die when caught in the heat.
The Forest Side is called Ailleacht Ghlas (Means Green Beauty in Irish) and The Civilised Side is called Solas na Gealai Sibhialta (Means Civilised Moonlight in Irish).
The Desert is called An Poll Ifrin (Means Hell Pit in Irish). The Chasm is just called The Chasm and it is a long and wide chasm that drops down into dark oblivion. Nobody knows what’s down there but the people who have fallen into it. They have most likely met their fate before they meet the bottom due to many rock ledges that point out on the side of The Chasm. There are old bridges put across it but they’re hardly ever used anymore and the only time they had been actively used was when The War was happening years ago.
Foxtrot also has many moons surrounding it and its sun is a star they called Astral. Astral is closer to Foxtrot than The Earth's sun. Meaning that summers get hotter than Earth. This is on The Civilised side Foxtrot. The Forest Side has completely different weather because of Weather Fay (A species of Faerie/Fair Folk) controlling the climate. The Climate in The Forest never gets too hot or too cold. It is always perfect no matter the weather.
