• ‘visitors’ to the ‘hotel’ are scouted out by people in different countries all over the world, looking for people who have killed either on purpose or accidentally and not been caught, and have nowhere else to go. they are then kidnapped by the scouts and brought to the ‘hotel’.


• the scouts also look for people who have been traumatised and are mentally unstable. the reason for this becomes clear as the story progresses.
