10 kingdoms with different customs and traditions ruled by 10 different royal families
History
Each kingdom holds its own set of ideals, which they live by, and everyone under that kingdom's rule must follow. The gemstone which matches the ideals of the kingdom is the kingdom's emblem. The gem is embellished in clothing, in art, and the culture of the kingdom revolves around it entirely. Three years are deemed the Years of Anew, where the king and queen of each kingdom have two children, the prince and princess of each kingdom. Only the queen's traits are passed down. When the eldest child of the 20 is 18 and the youngest 15, the Fight for Hands begins, where the princes must test their skills in hopes to impress their desired princess. The princesses must compete themselves, but only to decide the order they will choose their princes, the princess coming in last place not getting a choice.
