A universe full of magic and a mix of high tech and old age

I don't know me and my friend developed the world and the characetrs throughout majority of our childhood years

There were 4 types of powers who all lived in their own regions, rarely were a bother to the humans as they were all in a massive forest secluded from other people. Eventually the military decided they were no longer interested in living alongside them and tried to wipe all of them out and succeeded however their are elementals who survived.

Normal other than powers messing with the physics, there is a spirit world that is very complicated and only Earth elementals are able to connect with it and only those who are spiritually connected can use that connection to it's fullest capabilities.

The military have very very advanced technology that is hidden from the rest of the world, everyone else travels by horse and wagon still

4 elements. Earth, Water/Ice, Fire and air Fire was the most powerful, Earth was seen as harmonious by others but was actually quite twisted, Water/Ice were small in numbers to begin with and were split off into different small tribes but were very strong, Air was very harmonious and secluded, peacefully refusing to get involved in any relations with other elements.
