Anyone wanna do a O×O?

I'm making this rp because I'm bored at work, so I don't even really have an idea of what we could do, though I was kinda thinking like Parent/Child found family. Everything else is up to whoever wants to join. Btw, in case this is anyones peeve, this will be a short response type rp, so don't expect full paragraphs. (Although I still might do that. I like being descriptive lol)

Cool! You got any ideas for plot and stuff? I was thinking maybe scifi?

Sci-Fi is good with me but I don't have much in the way of a plot.

Ok then, uhhhh… Oh! What if we do something like a child experiment, and the kid is a mutant escaped from a lab, and the adult is just a random person they found somewhere and they immediately bonded. The plot would just be avoiding the scientists and defeating them or sumn

That sounds great!!! Umm, just for the sake of context, what kind of experiments or mutations would be involved (for lack of a better word)? And which character do you want to be, the adult or the escaped child?

I'd like to be the adult! Also, any mutation could make sense, like animal traits, or psychokinetic powers or extra limbs or super speed or anything really! As for experiments, I think the scientists experiments would be… unethical, to any capacity of the word probably.

Ok! As it turns out, I have a character who would be perfect for the child! I think I have an idea for his mutation too…

Age: 37
Gender: Male
Appearance: Very average unnassuming build, blocky build though not a lot of muscle, but you wouldn't really be able to tell, since he's usually wearing baggy clothes, often hoodies and sweaters, and cargo pants. His face fits his blocky build though it has a softness to it. He has light brown, downturned eyes, a slightly hooked nosed and thick eyebrows, his skin is a sort of toasted almond color and he has short curly hair that goes to his ear. He's around 5'11.

Age: 8
Gender: male
Appearance: Peter has always been short for his age, which led to people (the scientists) calling him Pip or Pipsqueak. He has messy, shaggy dark reddish-brown hair that looks like he's tried to cut it himself and has partial blue heterochromia on his right eye though both eyes are brown. He's also a bit too skinny. He prefers comfy, baggy clothes (which isn't hard with his small build) with lots of pockets.

Chester liked taking walks in the woods. It was a nice disconnect from the rest of his life. Especially today. He took in the sights as dusk set on the forest, revealing the autumn rainbow of color in the temperate canopy. Here he could enjoy just his own presence and the presence of nature. He sighed as he trudged on. No work. No people. No problems. What he didn't know was that he was about to be faced by the biggest problems of his life.

Peter kept running. He couldn't stop. If he did those men would find him again and take him back. He didn't want to go back! He had to keep moving. Even though his feet were sore and he was so tired and hungry. But he had heard them! He knew he did!

The poor boy was so frantic that he didn't even realize where he had ended up, how far was he was from that place or that what he thought he heard was nothing more than a nightmare. The absolute terror of being found by those men filled his body, forcing him to keep moving.

Chester froze when he heard something running his way. He had seen wild animals before. Boars. Cougars. A couple snakes. Maybe a turtle or two. But they had never run this fast and towards him of all things. His mind raced with what it could be. Wolves? No, there'd be more, this is just on animal. A bear? No, too small and fast. Maybe it was another boar? What do you even do when a boar attacks you?.. Climb a- but before he could finish his thought, whatever it was hurled into him.

The young boy had looked over his shoulder at just the wrong moment, to make sure he wasn't being followed anymore when he lost his footing and tripped, crashing into something. He yelped at the sudden impact, though it was softer and warmer than what he would have expected to hit. Taking a brief second to catch his breath, Peter looked up… and scrambled backward, until his back hit a tree, trying to get away from the person.

Chester looked up at what bumped into him. It was just a kid. He sighed in relief, as the kid backed into a tree. "You good kid? You look like you've seen a ghost?" He tried his best to sound concerned, but his monotone voice made it hard tk come off that way.

Peter was practically frozen as he looked at the man, not taking his eyes off him. It seemed like he was alone… But he didn't want to take a chance. Despite the tears welling up in his eyes, he kept his guard up. Though he couldn't help but flinch when the man spoke. His fingers dug into the tree bark as he tried not to use his shadows. Those men had always used different words for it and some of them were too big for the boy to understand.

"Did you hear me?" He asked, a little annoyed that the kid hadn't responded " I said are you okay?" He looked around "Are you here alone? Where are your parents kid?" His face was as flat as usual, but he tried to give a positive smile for the kid. "Why are you running through the woods?"

The boy whimpered at the tone in the man’s voice but finally shook his head, unable to bring himself to actually speak. He was a little relieved that no one else had shown up to grab him yet, but he didn't know what to expect from the stranger in front of him. His knuckles were turning white from his grip on the tree as his legs began to tremble from exhaustion.

"… Whatever. Listen, if you're here alone, that's none of my buisness, just… stay out of trouble?" He began to whisper "Whaddaya even say to a kid who's alone in the woods?.." he sighed "Actually, if you're alone, you should come with me… I'll take you to find… whoever should be taking care of you" He said as he put out his hand towards the kid.

“No!” Peter cried. He didn't want to go back! They say that they take care of him but everything he remembers… the pain, the tests… “Can't go back!” he whimpered again as the tears broke free, streaming down his face.

"Whoa! Kid! Calm down…" he said as he processed what the kid was saying " Ok, so you're NOT ok…" he saw that the kid was shivering. "So, you don't want to go back to your folks… what do you want to do? We gotta get you outta these woods at least" his voice finally softened. He was genuinely worried for this kid.

“Don't have any.” he admitted, whimpering again. “Can’t go back…” He looked up, drying his eyes as he tried to figure out how to answer the last question. He wanted to be safe and not think about those men or that place anymore. “I don't wanna be hurt anymore.”

"I get it kid. But we really gotta get outta these woods if you don't want to get hurt." He looked at the sky "It's getting dark, and there's scary stuff in these woods at night" he looked back at the kid. He looked… tired. He also looked pretty dirty. Like he'd been running through the woods for a while. "Alright kid, I can carry you outta these woods if ya want. But we can't stay here." Maybe he could get the kid to a police station or something and they'd be able to help. He sighed once more and put his hand out again.

Peter nodded, feeling the exhaustion from the day catching up to his small body as he hesitantly let go of the tree and accepted the offer. “I’m not scared.” he whispered. And it was partly true. He wasn't scared of the things the man warned him about… He had seen and been through worse.

Chester picked the kid up and put him on his back. "You're braver than me then kid." He answered "Is that good? Comfortable?" He asked. He had never had a kid on his back. He never really liked children all that much. It was weird. "Ready to get outta here?"
