Artists and Writers?

Curious to know if there are any artists on here? I'd love to see some of your art. I personally draw a lot more than I write ^^

Well I'm not really sure if I'd call myself an artist…I'm pretty terrible. I do draw a lot though. I've got a lot of super artsy friends which is probably the reason I started drawing at all. I write just about as much as I draw but I think of myself as more of a writer than an artist. It's probably because I've been writing for longer.

Aww don't say that. You're an artist if you draw ;)

Do you draw characters for your writing?

well, I agree with Alice in that I don't really know If I 'm an good artist , but I love to draw too! :3

@adidaiida I've never tried drawing my own characters before. Maybe I'll try that. :) Mostly I draw random people and occasionally I draw characters from other things like books and movies and tv series.

@adidaiida I haven't drawn many characters from other things, though I have drawn a few from different anime. Tomorrow I plan to draw Marvel characters during French class XD I only tried drawing people from books once or twice because I was always afraid I'd get it wrong.

@adidaiida well, yeah, I try to. most of my (abandoned :'v) characters begins with a drawing.

I tend to see-saw between writing and drawing, depending on my mood, but I'd definitely consider myself a (fledgling) artist!

Drawing book characters are fun! Because you have creative freedom over it ;)

Oh my goodness, same. But usually those characters don't get used for stories ^^ They're just there and I enjoy building them.

@adidaiida I mostly watch shounen anime. My favourite is Assassination Classroom but I also love Code Geass and Durarara (actually I love lots of anime, those are just a few). I plan to draw Captain America and The Winter Soldier and probably Black Widow and Hawkeye as well. :)

@adidaiida I actually kinda draw some of my stories, like little comics , so, It's really helpful and fun to have my characters in like "physical" XD

Yes!! Comics! And I agree, I love seeing my characters "physical". :3 What do you think about animating?

I can't draw locations either, it's so hard. Perspective is so hard :P

@adidaiida I do! I've got an art blog over on tumblr under not-that-crowley, unfortunately it's on hold for a bit until I can get a new tablet ^^;

I try to draw something for each of my characters/universes but it's slow going…especially when I started cataloging stuff I hadn't touched in years! I would consider myself more of a writer than an artist, even though I've been drawing longer than I've been writing.

I do love art and drawing and all that but I just overall have a hard time drawing people unless I put like 2 hours into just a sketch. I'm better at inanimate drawings and abstract paintings tbh.

I draw my characters too! I'm not exactly the best at it lol, but I draw them. I don't have something up for all of my characters though.

@adidaiida There's a lot of my art in the galleries of my characters! I also have an art blog which is scribbleaf on tumblr. I mostly work in pencil though I've done some stuff digitally.
