Battle Sun(DEAD. WHY?)

Okay, so this is my first RP so I am still figuring this thing out. Anyway, this RP is set in a world on top of the clouds, and specifically next to a place called Gacker River. It is a big arena battle thing, and it starts where your characters are fighting through a tournament to earn the ultimate prize, the Scorpion Medal(and a trip down to the ground). The sport originated in a place called Poison Woods, among the Scorpons(humanoid scorpions). Anyway, enough history. Your characters can come from many different places to battle, but I’m sticking to strictly human(or very human like) people. They can have magical abilities.
Rules: Please no swearing, and keep it clean. Graphic violence is fine(it is a battle RP)
Keep in mind the rules for all RPs that @andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) made.
No shipping. It’s a battling RP, not a romance.

Description: 5’4, silky black hair always in a braid, wears a black body suit with a black leather jacket. Gray eyes.
Profession: Trained as an assassin, very deadly. Fights with double daggers, and has throwing daggers strapped everywhere.
Personality: Playful, mysterious, fun to hang around if she trusts you. Trusts very few people, but puts up an act to learn more about others.

Description: 5’2, Red hair, green eyes, pale skin, wears all black with a tie on cape with hood.
Profession: Bobygaurd of a Mob boss. Her adoptive brother is the Mob boss and she has promised to protect him.
Personality: Cheery, Nice, Curious, Dark humor.
Other: Has a bond with a creature named Night which is basically a living shadow.They can combine and control shadows and form stuff from shadows. Neither of them have a shadow.

(Okay guys sorry for the wait I was really busy and didn’t have time to start this but I’m all good now so here we go!)

It is the day of the Battle Sun tournament, just hours before the battling starts. People are arriving to watch the fights in the blue and gold colosseum-like arena. All the fighters are waiting in rooms to be called out. Your characters are in a blue room with a few chairs, and an unknown source of light. There are two doors: one that is more of a golden panel that will be opened when it is time to battle, and another unlocked door that leads out into a hallway, which then goes to outside the arena. Your characters are foreigners to this land, and my character(Lorreth) is a native. That system is in place so my character can explain things about this world.

Lorreth walked into the room, and sat down. She looked around at the few other people in the room. I wonder who I will have to fight this time? She thought.

Nykidia bounced her foot impatiently. She had no idea of what to expect. She had seen many things working in the mob but she was used to fighting humanoids and she was pretty sure that they weren't going to be fighting humans or anything like the sort.

Sophia sat calmly in her chair, skillfully hiding her nerves. If these people knew her better they would see the almost imperceptible shake in her hands. So much at stake, fame or death.

(I’m going to clear this up right now. It’s not a fight to the death, though it is common to die of your wounds. I probably should have mentioned the specifics of the Battle before. It’s a fight against other sentient creatures, you fight one on one until one is either knocked out or gives in. If you kill someone, you are disqualified.)

Lorreth discreetly watched Nykidia out of the corner of her eye. She pulled out a throwing knife and inspected its blade for dirt or blood.

"We need to watch out for her." Night said pointing at Lorreth. "I can agree with that. She look like competition." Nykidia said as she rolled a coin across her finger tips.

Lorreth surveyed the room one more time, before speaking.
“So, what are your names? I’m Lorreth Krio.” She put her dagger away, and took out a short sword in its place, twirling it around a bit.

"Nykidia." She said as she pocketed the coin.

Lorreth squinted at Trin, observing her. I know that look. Nervous, so looking emotionless to hide it. Lorreth turned all the way to look at Trin.
“And what’s your name, Miss-Weakness-Seeker?” Lorreth smirked, trying to put her off guard.
