Character Creation

I'm looking for some unique powers or abilities to give my characters. I don't want generic superpowers or stuff that is seen often; for instance, I have a spirit who has to possess dead bodies they find to live, a character who has light bursting out of his palm to fight away the darkness and a character with a sword and shield who’s incredibly skilled at fighting.
They don't even have to be powers; they can just be talents, so I can set characters apart.

Any ideas suggested here may inspire other people as well!

What I've always found very interesting is the ability to use darkness as a power. Like, to be able to use it for teleportation, camouflage, etcetera. Gyrokinesis (ability to manipulate gravity) is also pretty cool.

Those are interesting ideas! Here are a few that came to mind when I tried to think of more original powers.
-The ability to see through someone else's eyes.
-The ability to draw water up through the ground. I'm not sure how useful this would be in a story format but it a it's a cool image to picture water bubbling up through the earth and it's not the cliche of just controlling water.
-The ability to withstand extreme temperatures. This could also work as a weakness. Say someone could handle temperatures of -90°F without even needing a coat but 90°F weather in a place like California would hurt them.
-Computer abilities. No hacking involved, simply the presence of the person with the power destroys all firewalls and encryptions of whatever they are trying to access.
-The ability to make someone forget something instantly. A character could, for example, rob a bank by just walking in and making everyone instantly forget that they even saw someone enter the building. Or, if someone in injured, they could make them forget the pain.
-The ability to transfer memories from person to person.
-The ability to make plants grow.

I find the ability of control the weather pretty cool

I gave my character the ability to learn anything she wanted to in 3-10 days. Granted it was because of a unique ring, but she can still learn everything she tries to.

Pacification through meal preparation- literally able to stop raging crazy in its place with a perfectly made meal, to that persons tastes. (ie if grandmas burnt Mac and cheese soothes you, that’s what you get, versus five star beef tar tar you had once on a dare years ago.). The catch being you have all these ‘friends’ as a hero, those of whom you are not sure are even your friends as they only come around for dinner parties.
