I'm wondering if I should move on from these maplestory sprites while I don't want to change their entire look, but I wondering how to make them all click especially Lucas's stupid edgy hair I can't draw without it looking like crap

Yeah, I wouldn't often recommend using a base or "doll maker" for designing characters (I assume that's what these are, but correct me if I am wrong!). It zaps originality from the process and can lead to static, often stiff designs. ((That being said, I also understand that having a physical image of your character can be helpful and not everyone can or wants to draw all of their characters, in which case these doll makers are pretty nifty!)) I don't think your characters need a full redesign, not at all! A little personalization would go a long way for some of them, though, and if you need any help with that or you want me to do a couple drawings for you, I am willing to be a resource! :)
