error 500 when i attempt to upload a new profile picture?

i've been attempting changing my pfp intermittently for about a month but every time i load a file the website gives me an error 500 page after i click "upload". my avatar went back to the default one the first time i did it. i already filled out a form to report the problem after it happened the first time. anyone else having the same issue or any advice?

Hmm. I'm not seeing any errors about uploads failing, but I'll look into it. Would you mind sending me a PM with the image you're trying to upload so I can try to reproduce the problem? You can upload it to a notebook page or a site like imgur.com if you need somewhere to host it. There might be something about the image in particular that's causing problems.

Yeah, it looks like avatar uploads are broken now, although uploads to notebook pages still work. I'm looking into it and hope to have a fix sometime soon. Thanks for letting me know!
