Hi @andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer). I'm SUPER new here, but I just created a character, and hopefully more characters and maybe a new universe.

@andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) I mainly do fantasy. I have one sci-fi world, but I've got no idea what to do with it yet.

I have two fantasy worlds, one of which I have yet to do anything with.

I do Sci-fi and fantasy, though recently i've been leaning towards fantasy. If anyone needs help with world building, i'm willing to help in any way I can. I can't write a character to save my life though lol. (I'm also new here and wondering if premium is worth it for the added notebooks?)

Did someone say fantasy writing?! A lot of people seem to be fantasy writers, which is great since I'm also a fantasy nerd! Also new to this website and also wondering about the premium, since I have a bunch to write about so many things, but I'm a bit confused about the pay system and wonder if it's worth it in general ^^;

About premium: try viewing it less as "is it worth it for the content I will have access to?" and more as "do I want to support this site and tool and help it develop?"

Also, hello folks, fantasy/sci-fi writer here. I hope in the future the forums will have subforums for genre so we can all hang out.

hello! young adult fantasy writer here! my current trilogy is about celestial fairies but i do enjoy writing sci-fi as well. anything involving magic or space :) (i'm new here and learning that my world building is a bit lacklustre (my characters haven't had to buy anything how am i supposed to know what kind of currency they use???))

If you want names for characters, I suggest finding a quality that you like about the character and translating the quality into other languages. (It's what I did with my dog.)

I love how everyone does translation or just has words they like, and I just go
'Yeah, I like that name. Don't know what it means, but sure'
But the above is a fantastic idea that I should consider adopting

i'm binge-watching brooklyn nine-nine and cursing my life choice of becoming a writer. i thought after two novels in two years it would be easier. it's not.

regretting taking a manager position on nights like this - what does it take for someone to actually do their job???? Not worth the headache, really.

@Cami, @alice, i still need to sit down and watch that, it sounds like a good show and most of my friends recommend it, but I just don't have time.

yessssss it's amazing. i don't remember the last time i actually laughed out loud multiple times during a show. it's a gem.
