GRYFFINDOR IS THE EVIL HOUSE (in my opinion)

Personally, if someone said "Which Hogwarts house is the worst?" I would answer "Gryffindor"
I think all the houses have bad problems.

Ravenclaw (my house): Think they are smarter then everyone else, also kind of annoying as they are "so smart"
Hufflepuff: For some of them, the kindess could be a cover. Also always taken from granted
Slytherin: Voldemort was in this house
Gryffindor: Think they are the "best" and everyones favorite because they had Harry Potter.

I think Gryffindor is just the bad house because they are boastful, self-confident, and so talented at Quidditch. I feel so bad for Slytherin. They were earning some of their respect back, after they had produced Voldemort, and then Harry Potter comes along and basically screws them.

@ravens

fair point

Fair point indeed. However I think this is true in the books time period itself. In the fandom, it's just really overhyped and has all the merch. (Also I'm a Gryffindor according to Pottermore)

I think that there’s no one perfect, or bad house. all have perks and downfalls

@actual-fandom-trash

Yeah I agree with Moony too but (to me) the gryffindors were really annoying in the series sometimes

idk about all gryffindors being annoying , but that one house being waaay over-hyped and loved because BrAvErY is annoying. The other houses are good too!!

Agreed

The one thing that I hate in Harry Potter is in the Battle of Hogwarts, they put the Slytherins in the dungeon. What, so some children don't want to have to kill their parents possibly. Who says all Slytherins are bad? And Mcgonagall put all of them, 1st years to 7th years, in a cell because some of then are bad. That is blatantly racist and cruel, and because no teachers are in the dungeons, it's basically showing that the school doesn't care about a entire quarter of their population. But the worst part is that the other houses cheer about the Slytherins leaving. All three houses, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff, are somehow so heartless at that time that it made me ashamed of my own house. So I actually agree that all houses are bad at sometimes, I just feel like Slytherin was under-rated.

I have to disagree with you here. Mrs McGonagal did send them to the dungeons, but not for the reason you think. Also, it wasn't just Slytherins. All the younger years from all the houses went to the dungeons with the Slytherins, Slytherins who didn't want to fight their parents. They were sent there because the Slytherin common room was there, and it was the safest place in the entire school. They weren't sent there out of shame, or discrimination, they were sent there for safety.

Yeah, you wouldn't want a bunch of 11 year olds running around on a battlefield, and who better to protect them than the people who know their way around the dungeon and don't want to fight unless they have to?

It'd be nice to have at least 5 Slytherins who weren't trash humans though.

We never saw anything but the bad Slytherins in the books and Movies, so I say that their are good Slytherins, and that the other houses have their bad apples too. Also Gryffindor had Peter Pettigrew, and I'm sure Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw have their bad apples.

Regulus Black, Draco Malfoy (If he had gotten an redemption arc), Narcissa Malfoy, Some people say Severus but I disagree strongly, Merlin, Horace, Andromeda Tonks,

Serverus was a good man!!!

@actual-fandom-trash

No way. Sorry but I have a strong opinion on Snape and he was not a good man. He was a bad person who did a good thing.

He was a double agent, that ring was gonna kill Dumbledore anyway, he was jealous of Harry's dad, and Harry's dad was quite possibly a bit of a jerk at times.

@actual-fandom-trash

Okay but just because he was jealous of James Potter doesn't justify him bullying all of the Gryffindors and favoring all of the Slytherins. Snape wasn't just a jerk- he was a literal bully to children. So much to the point that Neville's greatest fear was him- and his parents were tortured to insanity too, so you'd think that Neville's greatest fear would be death eaters but instead it's literally his potions professor.
And while James was a jerk sometimes, he moved past it and became a better person.

@actual-fandom-trash

Sorry I don't want to argue too much. But like I said, I have a strong opinion on Snape
