Oh yeah totally, let me grab one rq
“Xaioff, my friend!” a voice called, laced with fake enthusiasm. Fox’s eyes followed the shadow as it rested hands on his shoulders from behind.
“Evening, Arren,” his words were nearly a whisper.
The shadow slipped out into the middle of the alley, stepping into the spotlight so generously created by the dual moons. His skin was eerily pale, with calm white eyes to match. His hair was a perfect contrast of black, bringing out the circles under his violent sunken eyes. The only thing covering his lean frame was a long black coat, the fabric slowly following his every move.
“I really don’t understand why you won’t just join us…,” he began, preening his nails. “You do so much… important work for us anyway.”
“Y-yeah,” Fox mumbled, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. “W-well it’s nice to meet you.”
The man tilted his head up to the sky, his eyes almost glowing as they looked down on Fox. The elven boy felt small, cowering under the glare. His body shook as he held his own, his eyes pleading to glance away.
“I like you, Xaioff,” Arren cooed with a grin. “Ace told me a lot about you. I believe you met him at Seere, correct?”
Before receiving a reply, he continued. “It’s about time you met the leader. Tell me, what has my deputy been saying about me?”
