(HELP!!) ask me stuff about my universe prepania and the characters in it!!

okay, just hear me out. i need people to do this because i want to make sure i have an answer to EVERYTHING. the questions can be as irrelevant or goofy as you want, i just wanna make sure i got it, y'know?

for example y'all can ask serious questions like "how do the characters know each other?" or "how does the calendar work?"
orrr you can ask "does odessa think cereal is a soup?"

i need to know everything about my own characters, and i assumed people asking questions was a good way to do so :) if you participate thank you!!

In the technology section, it says that things are mostly electric and people heavily rely on it. So my question is, what happens when there is a power outage, or a battery somewhere important dies and several places are affected by this?

that's a really good question i didn't think about initially! this is gonna be a SUPER long answer because i can already tell i'm gonna get really into this.

a few things here:
the only two regions that really rely on technology is novethres and descent. the circuits' headquarters, the druensey complex (which is NOT on my page yet because i haven't been able to get to it), is located in novathres. it is a complex that is so big that it is counted as a city, and it is filled with hundreds and hundreds of servers and fuses, running the two regions. normally, they would not let a power outage happen under any circumstance, and always have a plan b…

but let's say some freak accident happens. every server is shut down and all the fuses are busted. now there are more things to take into consideration: how long is the outage, and how stable will it be when it's fixed?
novethres is a city that has been established for QUITE a while now, and is pretty similar to night city from cyberpunk 2077. this region would last a good amount of time without the technology they rely on, maybe a few days to even a week, which would be more than enough to get the BASIC NEEDS sources running (lights, water filters, refridgeration, currency exchange software, etc.). they would be able to survive without any of the extra, not needed stuff, you know? sure, life would be affected for a while, but it would be back to normal in a cinch.

but descent… yikes. descent has only been around for about 15 - 16 years. it's also built in a hot and arid desert climate, which means without the weather/climate stabilizers they use, the whole region plus a lot of their tech would overheat and possibly be ruined. if the outage is longer than 3 days, i think they could be a little bit screwed.

What exactly is the Circuits? It says that some places are 'overcome' but i don't think it was explained any more then that.

that's because i haven't been able to pay for notebook.ai yet and i can't have the"groups" section unlocked to explain it yet… </3 BUT the circuits are basically a HUGE government organization, all about the rise of technology. they claim they make life better and easier, and the majority of people in novathres and descent trust them, but many of the regions are against their "progressive" ways and refuse using technology at all. in reality, they're a very corrupt organization, contributing to things like extreme environmental destruction, pollution, and… y'know. attempting to take over the entire continent in a dictator like way. of course, you wouldn't suspect this unless you worked on the inside (i.e cyrille) or were and extreme conspiracy theorist (i.e. tex).

they do get involved in "wars", such as the one where they took the south side of the west, but they've only been active for a short amount of time in general so they hadn't been able to take anything else in the meantime.

i still have a lot to build on, but that's the basics. i will find a way to add it to the universe page soon💪

So the cities that are neither anti-circuits or taken over by them, why exactly are they at only 2020 level tech? Cuz they have been established far past 2020.

good question!! their governing bodies for those regions just try to stay neutral in between advanced and primitive technology, and the century 2000 was a prime example in their eyes. for example, it would be like how the 1800-1900s would be for us nowadays, where things were growing but not quite as advanced as they are now.
