Lol. So, who here's homeschooled? And how long?

Me!
Well, i've been homeschooled for three years now after I was majorly bullied.

I've been homeschooled since 8th grade, so about three years now, too!

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

But not because of bullies or anything.

@WriteOutofTime

ive been homeschooled my entire life and honestly it kinda sucked but I'm graduating this year

Ha! Yeah, my sister and I weren't too keen on being homeschooled for the whole first year or so, but we got over it. Now I'm kinda glad I don't have to deal with HS drama…

Homeschooled my entire life. (I also attend Hogwarts.)

I would know. I'm your sister after all.

@Masterkey

I was homeschooled from preschool to twelfth grade. Graduated now.

Awesome! I didn't realize there were so many homeschoolers here!

@Masterkey

I figured there'd be some, and there's probably more.

Yeah, I knew of at least one, and I had figured there'd be more, but I didn't expect so many.

What're your favorite parts about homeschool?

Getting done early and not having to socialize with people.

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

Lol. Oh, no! Socialization! note the sarcasm

Mine is being able to do random things in the middle of the week, like go on a shopping trip w/my friends.

@Masterkey

It was probably being able to tailor my learning experience to whatever I needed to succeed. And I could do it all in the comfort of my own home and at my own pace. I was two grades ahead in math, and one grade behind in spelling and vocabulary. Just because I went at the pace I needed.

Since I started in public school, I've kinda just done whatever classes I would have done if I still was. (Except electives… I was in choir before, and now my choir consists of three people: me, myself, and I.)

@Masterkey

Noice, that's good

Lol. I actually don't sing very well, but I try! And I sing with one of my friends who is amazing at singing! She also plays guitar very well, and she's homeschooled, too.

@WriteOutofTime

my favorite part of being homeschooled is having to learn more discipline/time management. its entirely up to you whether or not you do well so its both flexible and more stressful lol. I also like that I can finish before noon everyday and I have more time for extracurricular stuff I actually wanna do

Nice! I'm taking a few college courses this year, too, so I'm learning more about that, as well!

@WriteOutofTime

I wish I was taking college courses. I chose ap calculus over college algebra and I honestly regret it

@Masterkey

You can't just switch midway? Sure, it'd probably be difficult at first to make the switch, but spring break just happened (or is happening).

@Imperfect_Autumn group

I tried college Calc before taking HS Calc, and it was too hard, so I'm doing HS Calc now…

@WriteOutofTime

no it'd be difficult to change my transcript etc. plus the semester already started

@hopelessromantic

Hi! I've been a homeschooler all my life along with my siblings. I take dual credit classes. It looks good and gives credit for both high school AND college, which is pretty darn cool.

Yay! Another one! grins
