I don't understand… How… do you get a social life? Even introverts? Help…? How do you people get friends so easily? What magic do you people possess?

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I don't know, I've been an extrovert my whole life and only get to talk to people outside of my family (in person) maaayyybeeee once a week

I know people with horrible anxiety and they still have friends… I don't understand…. Teach me your ways Ella… pls.

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

What are my ways? I don't have a social life other than Notebook and my occasional AHG meetings that I barely get to socialize in

@A. Alice Robins

Find someone like you @ school or work and just say "hey, we're friends now". Some (actually all who am I kidding) of my friends were made this way. I'm just like "hey you, I like you" and just stick around.

@SaltyLasagna

Tbh I'm just winging it
I made a friend today by attempting to do something I didn't know how to do, and started a conversation by asking for help from a person who knew how to do those things

I'm more impressed at the introverts who get and keep friends… like gg guys you people get an oscar in my eyes.

I'm also homeschooled only for me it doesn't end, I'm stuck at home until I finally get to go to art school in a bazillion years

@SaltyLasagna

I'm pretty impressed with myself too
and tbh I can't even remember how I got my friends, they're just here now lmao

Does anyone have tips on how to not be so shy to the point you barely say three words in public?

Lol. Same. But shared fandoms interests are a really great starting point.

Yeah…
I was "adopted" by a freshman aged girl in church. She treats me so bad though… she's basically really self-righteous and i'm always wrong for not being sheltered and really Bible and Jesus happy.

Yup. And im a writer and you know, like all but two families are sheltered. I can't go up and be like "Hi! i write stories which blur the lines of reality and have gore and pg-13 to r rated themes! uwu" or i will get drop kicked in the holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Kind of random, but I found this yesterday and maybe you'll find it interesting. (And give you reasons to back up your stuff.)

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Hmmmm.
I mean, strike up a conversation. Find someone passionate about the same stuff as you are, and ask them about it. Even if you're awkward, chances are they'll still be interested! I believe in you!

That's the right attitude! You'll make friends in no-time if you think like that!

As a matter of fact, I'd like to be your friend!
