how much is my art worth?

Ok, so here’s what I think. Quick sketches & headshots should be priced around $10 since they’re relatively easy and take no time to finish. Busts should be around 20-$30 If your client decides they want them fully colored which’ll take more time to do. And your full body drawings should be priced around 40-$50!

It mainly depends on what your client wants though that adds to the bill. 🤔 (For example: wanting more characters in the piece, fully colored & detailed backgrounds, dynamic poses, ect..) That and you have to take in account the amount of time each commission could take you along with your current skill level!

^ all good points. I price mine based on hours taken to draw them, so for me a good fully-shaded bust can take about 2-3 hours, so I price it around $30. I suggest making a price grid based on what proportions and stages of finish you draw in.

Something to remember is prices don't need to be set in stone. If I get a simpler character I might price it less compared to a complex design. That said, don't let people bully your prices down, you decide and tell them the price you think is fair.

social media is great. Also if you have specific things you'd like for comissions, check forums and groups. ex, i draw a lot of dnd stuff so I post in dnd forums. Even just on sites like deviantart there are lots of specific groups that you could cater to.
