It's in a thousand movies… a thousand more books… and people say it all the time. But it's the clever responses and twists to the cliche that make it memorable. And… also I need help finding a good one to put in my story.

"Yes! I have a plan! We take and pick off their soldiers one by one, moving closer in on the Dorchan land until we're close enough to capture Darcy. Simple."
"Chess strategies don't work in real life."
"Hmph. I'd like to see you come up with a better one."

“I have a plan that could possibly work,” A soft voice came from my left. It was my butler, speaking up.
I turned to look at him, sneering. “We do not take plans from you, Mr. Williams,” I said with as much seething hatred I could put into those nine words.

"I have a plan! It's a good one! I promise!"
"How good can it be? You're a dead amnesiac."

Oh my god that last one is the greatest nonsequiter thing I've ever heard.

"No! that's the opposite of what I want to do!"
"No, no," Miki corrected herself. "There's a potion shop on the outskirts of the city. If you can MANAGE to get there, you buy an opposite potion. Oh, I can already see how much fun this is going to be."
"What do you mean?" Ari asked.
"Um, just go buy it first. Not that much, really. You're going to participate in the mission, and I am going have fun for the first in my life."
"Whatever you say," Ari said, hiding her excitement. Now this was luck.

"I think I got a plan. Okay, so-"
"If it involves you being the get-away driver again, I'm leaving."
"I said I was sorry."

"Well… do you have a plan?"
"Why me? Why do I always have to be the one to make the plan? Why can't you help out just this once?"
"Fine. I'll come up with a plan."

Oh my gosh this is so much better than I thought when I posted this. These are all great! And some of them even make great writing prompts!
