IS IT? OR IS IT BEING IMPERSONATED BY DARK GREY?

@thesupernaturalpaladin

It is not a color, it is the absence of light.

YAS MY BOI

@Lord_Dunconius

No. Black is a color in its own way. The absence of light is empty. We just perceive it as black. You can paint a room black, but you can't paint it clear.

Jeez okay Edgelords

@basil_

so basically your asking are you racist
but black is a color because if you dont call it a color then it will feel left out and get depressed
think about it
they can dye things black

@Julianaknowz___

I'm not being racist my friends are arguing about it

@Julianaknowz___

Black is absence of color, so "black" is just dark grey

@thesupernaturalpaladin

Black does not exist. It isn't perceivable to human eyes because it isn't there. It is the lack of everything

@Mere

I agree, black is a lack of color

Hey Mere

@Krista Williams

Actually, black is when all the colors are being absorbed. White is when all the colors are being reflected.

We see a color when it is absorbed.

Color is the refraction of light, so true black isn’t the absence of color but the absence of light. Therefore darkness.

In nature, you will rarely find a true black. Shadows aren’t true black. Most material that is died can be considered true black because it was manufactured to be so, but that fades with time and explore to light.

So yes, Black is a color, but very difficult to find. It is very likely what you think is black is actually, as you stated before, being impersonated by dark grey.

@Krista Williams

Wait, I messed something up. We see the colors that are reflected, not absorbed. Whoops, sorry.

I think the rest of wha I said was true. But now I'm not sure. Heh heh.

@basil_

@Krista Williams is right, actually, about the reflected/absorbed thing. However, if we're going to get into this, BLACK, WHITE, AND GREY ARE SHADES NOT COLOURS!
