Let's go! New rp, gonna stay alive
Let's hope this stays alive (O/O)
Yay!
Do you have any genre or plot in mind?
Awesome!
I can do most any genre but prefer fantasy and horror
I also love fantasy but am generally not a horror fan…
Sounds good! We can stay away from horror. I have so many characters, so I am very versatile with plots and other characters. I also do not mind romance, but I prefer when it happens naturally rather than being a goal of the rp.
That's fair. I also have quite a collection of characters. Most are also pretty adaptable and some are, admittedly, specific to certain fandoms and/or themes but depending on the rp even they can be made to work
And your take on romance makes sense… I've had a couple of romance rps that hit a wall only the characters ended up together 😅
Alright, do you have any plot ideas?
Well, nothing "original" but… here's two ideas that I "refound"
Found this one on Pintrest a while ago; A King sends his best knight to rescue his daughter from a savage tribe of barbarians. Accepting the quest, the knight expects to find a delicate, frightened, young woman but instead finds a tough, stubborn, war-paint covered huntress that was accepted into the tribe shortly after her kidnapping and she doesn’t want to leave. What will the knight do?
And this one is also a reboot but; a god is cast down from the heavens, turned mortal until they can earn their godhood back. The god… must learn to become human before they can become god once again. Unfortunately… some poor human was assigned to keep and eye on the god, and to help them along the way…
"Oh for god's sake! Get off the damn refrigerator! You can't eat those brownies! Those are for my friend!"
"You fool! I was once an all powerful god! I could slay enemies with one look! You think a mere human-"
"I will whoop your ass so far you'll have to claw yourself out of hell! Good luck regaining your godhood then!"
I like that god idea! I think it would be so fun to play the god, but I'd be okay with the human.
I do have a character for the god/dess role but I wouldn't mind being the human this time
Cool! Can I be the god then? And is there a specific template for the character sheets?
Sure. I don't really have template in mind so…
K!
I am too tired to words right now, let me eat dinner and get the sheet up
Ok
Name: Irae
Age: Millions of years, equivalent of 26 ish developmentally
Role: Scorpion Goddess of Wraith, Justice, and Vengeance [Banished]
Appearance: When at full power, she is tall, imposing, with a halo of eyes and feathery wings, a scorpion-like tail, blindfolded over the face, often glowing too brightly to make details or colors out. Banished as she is, she appears as a tall, slender elf with shoulder length brown hair, sharp, dark eyes, and a tail resembling a scorpions but with none of the venom.
Powers: [Redacted and Blocked, Unusable]
Other: Irae, the goddess of Justice, Wraith, and Revenge was the patron goddess of many soldier, judge, and mercenary clerics and paladins, as well as lawful fighters in general. However, she was blinded by her wraithful and revengful side, forgetting to balance with justice. This caused more and more conflictions as the God of War and Violence (among other things) continued working, causing more reasons for wraith and revenge, and suppression of any and all feelings of Justice. As a result, the gods forced Irae into a banished state, handing her duties out to other, minor gods to handle until she was able to do all of her duties.
Oooh… very interesting.
Name: Clarissa Jones
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Personality: She is normally a pretty quiet, analytical, and very organized person. But she gets along well enough with her coworkers… some would say that she’s friendly but definitely work-oriented.
Appearance: She's 5'7" with tanned skin that has a few scars, mostly on her hands and lower legs from growing up on the family farm. She has short choppy black hair, icy blue eyes.
Backstory: Grew up on her parent's farm, so she's good with animals but she's always been interested in sciences. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in genetics.
(alright, should I start with Irae being banished and Clarissa being assigned to watch her?)
(Sure. But, fair warning, it's pretty late for me here and I was planning on crashing for the night so…)
(haha, it's 10:30pm here and I should have been asleep an hour ago, I get it)
Basilia, the ruler of the gods, Goddess of Monarchs, Leaders, and Acceptance, had decreed it. Irae was to be stripped of powers and placed with a mortal until she was deemed capable of doing all her duties again. Irae had fought, claiming she had not lost her way, the fighting was the fault of Ranjit, God of War and Violence. But Ranjit had not changed his doings for centuries, and the changes were coorilating with the changes in Irae 's behavior. So she was stripped of her powers, her immortality, and her form, locked away until she could prove she would work for Justice again.
She was escorted out by Feren, Goddess of Journeys, Travel, and Escorts. Feren would deliver her to the selected mortal and explain as much as was needed to the mortal. Irae was not bound, but her powers being stripped away had left her disoriented. Not weak, but confused, needing to recover. Combined with security measures, Irae would be unable to make it back to the Pantheon or any godly realm or property. She would be stuck with whatever mortal she was placed with, not knowing much about the world, as her influence did not often reach within domestic settings.
Feren and Irae arrived near the mortal, Clarissa Jones, and Feren pretty much just dumped the half conscious Irae and a note onto Clarissa's lap.
Clarissa had always considered herself a pretty average person. Maybe not much of a looker but she was hard-working, reliable, and even fairly intelligent considering the education she earned. She doubted that she would ever do anything that would change the world in any big way. The most she hoped for was just a small impact in her work or her coworkers’s work. She didn't mind her calm quiet life, though the fact that her coworkers were currently her closest friends was a bit of a sad fact.
Today was supposed to be just another normal day off work. A day where she didn't have to wake up early or deal with jerks unless she chose to go out. But when two complete strangers just appeared out of thin air right in her living room with a note that was now fluttering to the ground from her lap as she stood up… normal went straight out the window.
“Who the heck are you?” she demanded trying not to let her voice crack in surprise, wishing that she had something to defend herself with. “How did you get in here?”
Feren turned, about to leave again. "I am Feren, Goddess of Journeys, Travel, and Escorts. This is Irae. I'd love to stay and chat, but I have places to be, travel to facilitate, gods to escort. It's all explained in the note."
Irae seemed to get a little more lucid at her name, her tail rising in a defensive stance. She still didn't speak, her eyes hazy.
Feren disappeared, leaving Clarissa and Irae alone in the room.
Clarissa gaped for a moment at the empty space where “Feren” had just been before shaking her head and picking up the note. “What a way to start a day. What is this? Some kind of joke?” she muttered to herself, casting a glance at Irae just in case. “You ok? You seem a little out of it. Need to sit down?” she offered, gesturing towards the couch though she was wondering about the tail.
Irae's eyes focused and hardened for a second, before softening slightly and sitting down. "What does it say? What did those idiots decide to tell you?" She asked sharply.
The note explained the banishment, painting the Pantheon as an all powerful collective that could have taken care of Irae's banishment themselves if they weren't so busy, and that Clarissa had been determined as the most capable mortal to guide Irae back to her duties.
Clarissa rolled her eyes, scoffing softly, as she read the note. “Apparently, the “powers that be” made me your babysitter. And tried to make themselves sound so politically important. Too important to deal with you themselves,” she explained, flopping down onto the couch beside Irae. “You can read it for yourself if you want,” she said, handing over the note.
Irae rolled her eyes. "I can guess. Those idiots are worried they can't deal with me themselves. They figured making me mortal would give me a sense of justice. As if I'm not the goddess of it. "
She grumbled, flicking her tail and looking around. "I miss my eyes- mortal sight is so limited- i cant even see the scales anymore."
Clarissa shifted in her seat, turning towards Irae. “So, what’d you do? The note is pretty vague on that and they seem satisfied to write you off as a “problem child”.” she shrugged though she raised a brow at the idea of the scorpion-tailed woman being the goddess of justice and apparently needing to be reprimanded so severely.
