Hellz yes

@Your-Humerus

well if you guys want to know, there's a deleted scene in the hobbit where the elves and dwarves fight. It really shows the old dwarf power, they have wind lances and goat chariots and goat calvary it's absolutley awesome

@ScarPen

@Your-Humerus There's a GOAT CAVALRY?!

@Your-Humerus

The dwarves used anything at their disposal and mountain goats were in their back yard practically s and they are perfect for their size so they just rode them into battle and hoo boy they are tough mother fers

@sgadanwrites

Has anyone read the Silmarillion here?! Much less The Children of Hurin? If you have, you are my instant best friend.

@Your-Humerus

Done and done and the untold stpries of J.r.r. Tolkein and his letters to his son and The atlas of tolkein SHBLAM

@sgadanwrites

@Your-Humerus

Never would have thought of that

@Masterkey

HEY I LOVE LOTR TOO

@Masterkey

I read the series for the first time when I was ten XD

@Your-Humerus

HA YOU FOOL
LOTR was read to me as a bedtime story from the beginning to end.

@Masterkey

It started as a bedtime story for me, too. XD But my two other siblings that I shared a room with didn't like it so I had to read on my own.

@Your-Humerus

Yeah, I was the one who read with LOTR while my sister betrayed me and said she liked Harry Potter more.

@Masterkey

gaspeth

Although Harry Potter is probably the best modern YA series ever… imo…

@Your-Humerus

I can agree it's just that in my personal opinion Tolkien's universe is better than Rowling's. It's not that I hate Harry Potter or anything but it's just not as fleshed out as Tolkien's

@Your-Humerus

#Tolkien=UltimateDM

@Masterkey

Yes, that's why I said HP was the greatest modern YA series. Would you even count LOTR as YA? I guess so…

I personally wouldn't count LOTR as YA, but libraries seem to categorize it as one.

@Masterkey

I think it was written for young adults back in its day, so that's probably why libraries do that. And tons of young adults still love it, though it really works for all ages (that's what you know is a good book).

@Masterkey

btw, who's everyone's favorite character?

@Your-Humerus

Bilbo, no doubt about I just re-read the hobbit for like the sixth time so yeah Bilbo.

@Masterkey

BILBO IS SO GREAT. Good choice.

I think my favorites are Merry, Frodo, and Gandalf. And Aragorn and Faramir.
