Melanie woke up to the construction outside her home that'd been going on for about a week now. Destroyed her sleep schedule and made for a very angry, stubborn, and irritated Mel. She rolled over, expecting to see a passed out abusive boyfriend next to her and discover herself naked, but luckily she didn't find him anywhere in her house.
After checking the floor for him, she nodded to herself, his absence making her smile softly as she placed her wavy blond hair into a messy bun and pulled her curtains open to reveal somewhat of an ok-looking day.
She undressed her poreclain body from the oversized shirt she slept in an stepped into the steaming hot shower, sighing softly as the water ran over her bare skin. She felt like today would somehow would be different. Like she was going to find something she lost long ago, or she was going to get all her work done, or that the Zoloft she'd been taking might begin to work, or maybe she might meet someone who would actually be good for her for once.
She turned off the water after washing up, wrapping herself in a plush, white towel and stepping onto the bath mat infront of her tiny mirror to do what little makeup she usually wore. While she went to pick up her tooth brush her towel fell, which she scrambled to get, but remembered that he wasn't here this morning, and she wouldn't have to hide herself from him to not be late.
She let herself freely finish her makeup and walked out of the washroom, towel in hand. She stepped into her room, trying to decide what to wear.
She settled for a cute, tiny little white crop top and some jeans, adorning herself with a choker and another dainty necklace. Brushing out her hair, she placed a tiny pearl baret in her waves, applying some chapstick afterwards.
She grabbed breakfast and some coffee, reading over a few of her notes for an upcoming test she had, soon ditching the notes to read e-books on her tablet.
She hummed softly to herself as she washed up the dish she had and packed her bag and then brushing her teeth, popping in a piece of cherry flavoured gum a bit after.
Soon she was flinging her bag over her shoulder and her keys around her finger tip as she walked down to the parking grage to get her car. She had a white buggie which her mother bought her with a little bit of the forture she'd aqquired from her celebrity status. She didn't despise her buying stuff for her, but she also wanted to work for it herself.
She couldn't deny that she likes being spoiled though.
She got into the car and drove off, hoping with all her being that today would be simple and good.
