I bolted straight up and saw someone, something, with blood dripping down their mouth.

"N-no, no, no… What did I do…." She frantically wisps around. "This is bad… ugghh.. I just made a fledgling."

"A fledging?" I ask

"You." She turns towards you. "Get up." She grabs your hand, "Follow me."

"What!?"

"Just do as I say." She rolls her eyes. "First things first you almost died."

"What!?"

"I'm taking you to the compound, I'll explain everything there."

"What about my parents? It's past curfew!"

"Uhhh…" She looks around, trying to avoid this conversation.

Looking at my arm and back at her mouth I exclaim "You're a Vampire!"

"No duh.." She grabs your arm, not letting go and runs to a big abandoned building.

"So that means…" I felt the blood rush out of my cheeks.

"Look…" her expression sympathetic now. "You almost died and I was hungry. Blood everywhere…Do you see the situation?"

I nodded meekly.
