So I decided to write a dystopian novel just for fun and I have a little bit planned out, but I just wanted to ask, does anyone have some basic tips for writing a dystopia since this is my first time writing one?

My favorite piece of advice for this is, actually, to create a society that is absolutely perfect. Then have your main character in some way for some reason, absolutely hate perfection.
