I wasn't sure if I should put this in creatures or characters, but since this is asking more about creatures, I decided to put it here.
I have a character who suffers from frequent night terrors, and he paints the monsters in his dreams in an effort to cope with the memory of them. I was just wondering, what sorts of monsters do you all see in your nightmares? Or what ideas for monsters might you have that would make an interesting painting?
When I was a kid, I had a dream of a gigantic green devil-like creature that made the whole room a ominous green color. It was pretty scary!
what does your character dream about the most? if he dreams about (very generic, i know) falling, then that usually means insecurity, so who is making them insecure? you could make the monsters based off of people your character is scared of, but then twist them with black goop and eyes and creepy limbs and a scratchy voice.
