echolocation would be cool

@Eirwen

I'm debating on smell, because their nostrils are in a beak-like nose, but that could just be a protective bone/tooth on the outside of their body. I'd love to do a form of echolocation, but they are basically deaf as well as blind - does anyone know of any other type of "vibration" sensing that doesn't involve ears?

@Eirwen, I believe some snakes (pit vipers) have a form of thermoception whereby they can sense/see differences in temperature. This could be really useful for a creature that lives in the cold like your Woolly Maw.

Some wikipedia for additional details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infrared_sensing_in_snakes

@Riorlyne HOW did I forget about that! Thank you so much! …Don't know why my brain didn't think of infrared sensing….
