post your favorite drawing references here, if you want.

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I'm currently drawing a bunch of skulls so I can master face anatomy, this is one of the references I'm using.

What a great idea!! These look really helpful!
they also look like they're sarcastically laughing at something

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

oh snap they do

@SmolDerpBean

oh man they do

i recommend ya'll look at ZBrush sculpts too. great for shading references

@SmolDerpBean

@"big cuddly robots should cook me a calamari on the barbie so i dont have to" I love everything about your profile

@Periwinkle_

hi, so i got a favor to ask. Does anybody have a reference of a girl holding a sword with her legs about shoulder length apart, looking relaxed? or something similar? The main point is a relaxed stance, since there are so many action poses of people with swords but not relaxed ones.

(I would like an explanation please…? feels like an idiot)

(This…. might work??)

I can't get to the picture, could you put it in a google doc and link that instead?

(Fixed it. It's probably not what you want, but….)

@Periwinkle_

duuude that's really helpful actually, since the stance and the color scheme are both great. Thanks!

(Oh thank gods, I was worried there for a sec.)

some of these digital sculpts are great for seeing how wrinkles/folds etc work also you usually get multiple angles (old people are great references for faces too)

(Oof, I can't see Pinterest stuff. It'll take me a bit before I can see it.)

@ninja_violinist

me, reviving this dead chat just to complain about how my search for fantasy references/designs for large women was a complete misery fest until I typed in "dwarf" or "orc"??? more likely than you think
THIS 👏 ISN'T 👏 EVEN 👏 SUBTLE 👏

@Katastrophic group

meanwhile…
"Fantasy armor female"
whoops that's… interesting… yikes that's not practical and how does that even stay up…?

@ninja_violinist

haha exactly
it's like that's… not the meaning I was going for when I typed in "fantasy"
(you do have to wonder what fantasy blacksmith developed these magical powers of being able to vaccuum seal things in metal and how they were convinced to use their powers for such nefarious purposes)

So, this wonderful human being, Kibbitzer, is making a huge collection of references for poses on their Deviantart, and I use it a lot!
