Royal RP?

Yes, royal as in king, queen, princess, all that sappy stuff. Like in the medieval times. There also may be a bit of romance. Anyone wanna join? Open to everyone, just make sure you post your character description. We can make up a storyline if enough people join.

My character is Genevieve, a rebellious 20-year-old princess in the kingdom of Raine. Her nickname is Gene.
Appearance: She has muddy dark brown hair that is almost always held up, but has a lot of stray hairs. Her eyes are a beautiful amber. She is African American, and her skin is a rich, chocolately color. Her most commonly worn dress is green. (if you look this up, the first image on google is what I was thinking of "renaissance medieval green velvet and metallic gold brocade dress")
Personality: She is not one to follow the rules, as her parents know. Loves pulling pranks. Is quite courageous, but will do anything to protect the ones she loves.

Orion, a knight and soothsayer, he wanders from town to town, not having a true home.
Looks: He has russet hair that is slightly shaggy and a crooked grin from getting his jaw broken. His eyes are a rich blue. He is tanned from time out in the sun. Most commonly worn outfit is his peasant clothes, with his sword strapped to his belt.
Personality: Loves jokes and to have fun, but changes moods quickly. Protects those that need proectng, and goes off on adventures.

Princess Arietta, from the Kingdom of Eredrilia [erre-drill-lia]
Nickname: Ari
Appearance: She has wavy light brown hair that reaches just under her shoulders, fair skin and dull green eyes. She usually wears a pale blue dress and has her hair tied up into a loose ponytail.
Personality: Ari is adventurous and quite witty, she is creative and known throughout her kingdom as a pretty good swordswoman as well.
Other: As much as Ari loves Eredrilia, she wants to leave desperately and would not mind if her younger sister became the next Queen instead of her - as long as she got to come and go as she pleased of course.

Luke, A skilled but young magician. 21 and figuring out how to use his powers to help others. He feels the need to always put others before himself; but he can feel his power burning within him wanting to be in the light and call everyone's attention to it, his mind however wants the opposite. Sadly his magic has more pull with the law of attraction so he always finds himself in the weirdest and sometimes dangerous situations.
He has tousled blonde hair and a tanned and sun freckled face and deep, warm chocolaty brown. He wears your standard peasant clothes.
He tries to be unnoticeable and normal, but he is selfless and has s knack for finding himself in the oddest situations (sorry for the repetition) but he is a generally merry fellow who enjoys nothing more than a deep-belly-laugh.

Luke was excited. The Princess of Eredrilia was coming to Raine, Luke didn't know why, nor did he really care. All he knew was that this would call for a feast. And boy every time there was a feast in the castle there was bound to be a party through every street of the capital!

As a princess, it was Arietta's duty to visit allied kingdoms every now and then. Her sister refused to go and her parents were getting too old to travel; however, Ari didn't mind as she loved visiting other kingdoms. Usually, these visits were to simply re-establish and acknowledge that the two kingdoms were allied. This visit was for a completely different reason.
Arietta was already of age and had refused to be crowned. Her parents decided that they would send her to Raine and various other kingdoms in hopes of finding a prince or someone of high status to marry her and convince her to accept that she was to be Queen.

Luke was walking around, watching the scenes he passed as stall after stall was being set up for the night. For the Princess was arriving today.
Before he knew it he was by the castle gates and he saw a grand carriage coming in lead by at least thirty guards and finely bred white horses.
He stopped and stared as he it went by and the grand Castle doors opened to reveal the King and Queen of Raine awaiting the arrive of the foreign princess.

Genevieve, though excited for the arrival of a princess, hated how her parents had made her wait outside for nearly two hours just to watch if the carriage has arrived yet.
"Practice for being Queen," They said.
Gene sighed, wishing that she had someone to hang out with at the very least. Well, her parents were there with her, but they don't really count, she thought. She wanted someone to do stuff with, someone that would ride horses right next to her, someone to play pranks on the court jesters with, someone to talk with her. Not Princess Genevieve, but Gene.
After Verena had died, her parents had become terribly strict with her, for they only wanted the best. But Gene had no freedom now. It was like this huge castle was a cage. And she was a bird yearning to be let out.

Arietta had fallen asleep on the long journey from Eredrilia to Raine, despite being told many times when she was younger that it was un-ladylike. When the carriage had finally pulled to a stop inside the castle grounds it was opened by one of the footmen in front of the awaiting Royal family. When no-one stepped out after a couple of minutes, the footman tentatively opened the curtain in front of the door to display Arietta sleeping daintily on the soft carriage seat.

Gene, despite her better instinct, giggled at the sight at the sleeping princess, for that was surely something that she would do. Her father gave her a stern look, so she stopped.
Gene, however, grinned, as she couldn't wait to meet this princess.
Never being able to attend the meetings about trade between kingdoms, Gene was finally allowed to witness them. However, there was something different about this visit. Usually, the kingdoms would send forth someone to announce the royal family's arrival a week in advance. Only yesterday did someone come, and that was to announce that only the princess would be coming. Still, there was something special about this visit, unlike the rest. She could feel it.

Luke watched as the esteemed princess of Raine let out a giggle in response to the sleeping princess within the carriage. This brought laughter to his lips but quickly hid his smile as he drew attention to himself.
Ever since he was a boy he and the princess had been playing together, even now, from time to time, he would disguise himself as a servant and visit her, they would often spend hours just talking.
If he had to pick, he'd say that she was his favourite person in the whole world.

Something gently nudged Arietta's leg and she shifted on the seat, unfortunately for her, the seat wasn't very large and she fell off it ungracefully. Arietta woke up, startled and confused, only to hear stifled laughter. Arietta glanced up to see a footman, who was currently finding the steps of her carriage rather interesting. She coughed lightly and his gaze fell on her. His eyes widened before immediately bowing and helping her up. Arietta thanked him, as he helped her down the carriage steps to meet the Royal family of Raine.

Gene couldn't help but burst into a quiet laughter again when the Princess of Eredrilia had fallen out of the carriage. She was still laughing, though, when the princess started to walk up the stairs of the castle entrance. Once the princess made it to where Gene and her parents were standing, she stuck out a hand, finally have being able to stop laughing, and said, "Hey there, I'm Genevieve."
Ignoring her parents' glares about her informality, she continued. "Welcome to Raine."

Ari glanced at the young woman's hand, she had never shaken anyone's hand before as others usually bowed, curtsied or kissed her hand. She reached out and hesitantly shook Genevieve's pointer finger before realising her manners and introducing herself, "I'm Arietta, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Pleasure to meet you as well," Gene's father intervened. He bowed, while her mother curtisied. "We have a feast ready for your arrival, just inside." King Richard (Gene's father) tells a butler to grab Princess Arietta's bags. "Gene," he whispered to his daughter, "If you would like to show Princess Arietta to her room?"
Gene nodded. "Follow me," she said.

"It is a pleasure to meet you both too," Arietta curtsied, before following Genevieve through the various corridors in their castle.

"Down this hall is my parents' room." Genevieve pointed out. She kept walking. "Oh, and this is my favorite place. Just outside this door is the jousting arena. Ah, I just love going there, the knights teach me things about swords. Have you ever held one? It felt like quite a rush when a knight handed me his sword to place on the rack for the first time when I was four."

The Princesses went inside and the obscenely large doors closed. Luke was happy to have seen Princess Gene, and planned to go up to her rooms after the feast tonight to ask her about the foreign Princess Arietta

"You can use a sword too?" Arietta asked, pleasantly surprised. "I didn't think that any other princesses would be interested in such things! Most of the kingdoms I've visited are quite boring in that sense."

"Yes, I quite agree. But I can only use a sword when my parents aren't looking." She whispered to Arietta in the empty halls. "They prefer me to do archery, which I enjoy, but I love using swords, especially against the other knights. What do your parents say about it?"

"My parents don't mind, to be completely honest I think that they'll let me do as I please if I eventually agree to become the Queen." Ari giggled, "However, I'm trying to hold off the coronation for as long as possible."

Luke wandered back into the city. He looked up and figured it was about an hour till sunset. The parties were to start soon.

"Lucky duck," Gene exclaimed as they rounded the corner. "Anyways, here is your room, it's right across from mine. Just knock on my door if you need anything. Oh, and a butler will come to escort you to the dinner feast in your honor. It will start in about an hour."

"I see," Ari smiled, "thank you for your assistance, I best be getting ready for the feast now."
