At the edge of the forest is a house.
Alone it stood for years
Until a kind old man showed some love
And wiped away its tears
Until the end
When he turned to dust

The ad for the large house at the foot of a forest was seen by many in the news but only one answered it. Maisie Thorne bought it as a place for her and a few friends to spend summer vacation there. However, when you place a mixed group of kids in a cabin, romance is in the air. Friendships blossom into something more as time goes on, but just when everything was going perfectly, it all came crashing down on a hiking expedition, after a rainfall, through the slightly dense forest, they find a small mound of dirt with an arrow pointing down. Thinking it was some sort of treasure, they start digging, not knowing what horrors lay ahead. Just a few minutes after digging, they hit something soft and pull it out to realize it was a body. Not here for long as there was no smell. Cue screaming and frantic running through the forest as they run back to the house only to realize the house they thought was safe, had a darker past than any of them realized.

Sure! Let me hunt down a paragraph I’ve written or whip one up real quick-

Outside of the Dead Pegasus, Reck scanned the skyline, trying to figure out what to do. Had Cheer been here, they would have both already been out walking towards the sunset, laughing over stupid inside jokes. Blinking back tears, Reck shook her head, unaware to how she so quickly got wrapped up in a stupid memory. She scoffed at herself, thinking how stupid she looked, more or less like an anime protagonist. She busied herself with changing the batteries in her blaster, in case anyone had seen her, so she’d at least seem somewhat sane. As she turned to leave, someone crashed straight into her. Quickly catching her balance, she whipped around to see who it was. She stopped the curses rising to her tongue when she saw it was the female she noticed from inside. She took a step back and said, “Hey! Watch out- you could’ve run into a Drac with how little attention you’re paying!” She placed her hands on her hips and gave the girl a kind of half smirk, hoping she appreciated her joking tone. If not, she was prepared to bolt.

This is a longer response from a one on one I did recently with one of my friends- it has a futuristic setting, if you wanted some explanation for the weird slang and stuff.

(This is a longer paragraph from a fantasy rp I did with some friends.)
Though when Dierdre had taken some of the food he was holding he pretended to reach for it with an amused eye roll, he stopped when her tone became more serious. "Thanks," he said simply. "I'm really so glad that I have a friend like you. I just want you to promise me something." He took a deep breath, willing himself to have the strength to go on. "If–if I die, in the Struggle, will you tell my family that I love them? I know I could just say it myself, but they always seem to lose whatever I say in the all of the words constantly filling their heads. Overthinking seems to be a family trait as much as teleporting and dark hair, sometimes."

He was looking at the floor, avoiding her eyes. He didn't have a ton of hope that he would win–that he really stood a chance against people who had probably already figured out his weaknesses and had stronger powers and everything–but he clung so desperately to the notion that he had to win. That he would not, could not die in the Struggle–for his family, for his friends (not that he had many), and for all of the East. He hadn't admitted his private fear to anyone until now and he felt horribly vulnerable. He didn't do vulnerable. He didn't do emotions, period, but apparently the pressure had gotten to him somehow. He just hoped that he had put his trust in the right person.

Forgive me, he thought as he went through the door, sidestepping to the outer wall and staying there.
Jehanne’s voice was heavy with shock, the same way Auderic’s body was.
“Oh, that poor dear. She must have been just a child.”
He shook his head, trying to tell his body he didn't hear right.
Jehanne’s mother had begun walking, her voice and footsteps growing louder in some parts, “Monsieur Guillory just rode back with the message; it’s the sickness. It’s-” She hesitated, and it was silent with no walking. Auderic mentally screamed for her to keep talking, but the logical part of his mind told him something was wrong. An abrupt tread coming towards him gave his body the adrenaline it was waiting for. He realized what was happening, and he clutched the herbs closer to him, his legs already going where they needed to.
He was gasping and lost in the heather skies before his mind could process. Auderic knew what this meant. He had to leave as soon as he could.

Appearance: Shaggy, bright blond-with-golden hair that gets in the way of everything, cream skin with a sprinkle of freckles, as he emphasizes; "just a sprinkle. Very colourful expressions, especially through his eyes; blue, but his left one looks slightly more green, (which he hates) and is called Sunshine because of his smile; iconic. Tall, a bit muscular. Dark undereye circles. Think: Timothee Chalamet's little blond brother. He might also be spotted passed out on the ground because he forgets to take his medicine, (he's anemic.)

Personality: an extroverted introvert (o)_(o) Fidgety, quirky, self-conscious, though, confident in the presence of authority. He's good at presenting ideas and getting people to listen. Believes in fate and destiny. Protective, observant, and get's mesmerized by little quirks. Get's easily flustered when complimented even the slightest bit. Internally, he's really affectionate but doesn't want to give people the wrong idea.
Background: Grew up in the South, (has an accent) with his parents, who were pretty wild. They refused to settle down and put him in school, so the three of them ran away and travelled in their vintage Volkswagen through deserts and small towns, teaching him what they thought was important he learned. They were taken away when he was 11, after a car accident while on the run. He lived with his grandparents after.
Favourite music: '80s to '90s rock and alternative, anything that you'd play while driving down a long road at sunset with the top down.
Likes: Movies; he will literally not shut up about movies, and how they're acted, written, and shot. Vintage photos from thrift stores. Art; he loves art, especially David Lynch. Tattoos, music, accents, spoken stories and poetry.
Dislikes: Cold weather, reading, country music, sleeping outdoors, the sound of tires skidding.
Pets: None, but he feeds the raccoons that drop by every so often.
