Some questions about site use

I have a couple of questions about how to use the site. I looked for a tutorial, but the tutorial I found doesn't cover category customization.

  • First, I should be able to customize pages using more than just adding text boxes. Is there a way to add any other information types, such as links? If not, there should be.
  • Second, if I customize a page but then I decide it should go back to the original template, how would I do that? And would that change all of the pages I've made?

Thanks for the questions!

  • The next release is a huge rewrite of how link fields works, which adds the ability to link to multiple kinds of pages (instead of just one kind). As soon as that's done, it should be pretty quick to also let people add their own link fields, so that's up next on the to-do list.

  • Right now there's no way to revert back to the original template (except asking me to do it manually, which I can!). In order to do so, however, it requires deleting all existing answers to all fields on those templates; so it's a pretty dangerous thing to do that I'd be happy to add a button to do, but I would want to make sure the side-effects are clear to everyone.
