The rain slammed down onto the tin roof of the orphanage. The sun didn't manage to shine through the thick layer of clouds in the sky— it had been that way for the past couple weeks.
A soft wind blew through the bare halls, creeping into the sparsely set rooms from beneath the doors. Leonie lay alone in her bed beneath her ragged blanket, distractedly growing flowers along her windowsill.

Her personality makes sense. Maybe try for an approximate weight and try to make it less subjective so we can imagine her clearly.
