neva walked down the sidewalk, the city sounds so far away as she put on her headphones. her short skirt fluttered around her thighs as the wind blew. today was a warmer summer day and she was taking a break from deployment, as shed requested summers and springs off and they'd been granted

Alex sat under a tall shady tree sketching in a notepad she had gotten shortly after coming to the city, the wind blew her hair in her face as she looked up and noticed a familiar girl walking down the sidewalk looked at her failing to remember where she knew the girl and continued sketching.
neva looked over, noticing the woman staring. she shrugged and walked over, " hello.." she said softly

"Hi,"Alex replied, chuckling, sorry for staring you just look like someone I used to know .
" you too but i cant quite place it⦠may I?" she asked and motioned to sitting next to the familiar woman

" looks pretty cool" she said as she leans in to get a closer look

Alex leans back on the tree and looks up at the sky." I used to come here when I was younger with an old friend of mine, but that was like 6 years ago, I think." said alex, moving her gase over at neva.
neva's eyes were closed " i wish i could help you remember their name." she said softly
