The Forest (Character chat)

Mos was known for her Quesselatos, which was known for being able to track down nearly anything. Escaped convicts, treasure, hide and seek games..you name it. She was also known for riding blind, and while she was not blind, she wore a red lined cloth covering her eyes. She was known to be an excellent spear wielder as well. Currently, she sat, seemingly alone by a tree, cloth draped over her eyes as usual. She wasn’t sleeping however, she was rather alert, just still at the moment, with the occasional movement or two. Her companion was no where in sight, at the moment.
Currently, she rested in a clearing against a tree. The clearing was surrounded by trees and thick brush.

Black wings beat against the dark sky. The form swooped low over the earth. Red eyes glowed, scanning the world below. The scent of carrion caught the beast's attention. It was a rather strange thing, having the body of what appeared to be a giant wolf, but a pair of raven wings were attached to its back, head a cross of a wolf and raven, all four feet ending in bird-like toes followed by vicious claws.
It tipped a black wing, flying even lower. The creature caught sight of a rotting carcass near what appeared to be a forest. It soon landed, back feet followed by the front. The strange thing padded over, starting to pick the leftovers apart.
The creature's tail slowly swayed back and forth. It paused for a moment, a hunk of flesh in its fanged beak. The thing's eyes narrowed, observing its surroundings for several moments, then seemingly shrugged to itself.
There was no immediate danger, besides, it was usually avoided due to what it was. Yet it was never bothered by lack of attention.

Serenade flapped her wings as she landed among the trees, a few feathers away swirling in a gust of wind. She looked around the forest, wishing she had her magic, but she was too far away from her island.

(Wait…did some just say dragonkin? Apparently I’m not the only one think that up!)
Serenade folded her wings to her back, and walked through the trees. She knew she was here for some reason, her Divine Protector wouldn’t bring her here for nothing. She hoped.

Serenade heard a girl calling out, and meandered over to the voice, the tips of her wings trailing on the ground.

Serenade emerged near the apple tree, quietly watching the girl.
(Serenade looks like a normal human, except for these giant, white bird wings on her back. She’s wearing a tank top and jeans)

“Hello human,” said Serenade to the girl, ignoring Azalane.

Serenade rolled her eyes, leaning against a tree.
“Why would I be friends with someone who hangs with a demon? Last time I tried that I almost got my wings cut off. I’m Serenade, by the way.”

Its wolf-like ears perked up from its head, having heard voices from somewhere deeper in the woods. Yet, it still didn't seem bothered, the only thing it had done was pause for a moment again, beak deep in the remains. Though once it seemed nothing was approaching, it continued gnawing away.

"Demon? It's a Day-mon. Otherwise known as an external life force." Azalane's eyes lit up with a maniacal fire.

“I know what a Daemon is, thank you very much. I just don’t care.” Serenade was trying to cover up how scared she was by the daemon with sarcasm, and failing miserably. She flapped her wings and flew up onto a tree branch, away from the daemon.

Serenade stared at the daemon, memories of horrifiying nightmares flashing through her mind. Blood dripping off the branches of burned trees, a flash of white fire scurrying in front of her, a maniacal laugh that seemed to rip through her soul, one of her wings ripped off and bleeding on the ground. She shuddered and leaned back, away from the daemon-cat.

The creature had finally finished picking what was left of the carcass. It leaned back, resting on its haunches. A tongue slipped out, running along the edges of its beak. Black fur and feathers were such a nice feature, easier to hide blood. Course, the scent would always linger, but that was minor.
One of its ears swiveled forward, the other laid back. It curled its tail around its side, continuing to listen to the world around it. Even from where it sat, it could sense the presence of others in the depths of the trees. It seemed silent for several moments, before it finally spoke to nothing and no one in particular, "Hm…what carcasses lay further in the woods? No matter…"
