Does anyone ever get really confused when an adult says something like, "you're too young for your back to hurt" or something stupid and it's like gee, I didn't know there was an age for pain…

@Pandapocalypse

If you kill someone in purgatory where do they go

@Sugar-Lover

Do you ever think about if someone had X-ray vision would they be able to see one thing or multiple things or even everything. And if they could see through everything wouldn’t that mean they can’t see anything. So what if blind people just have X-ray vision?

Has anyone here ever stopped to think about how scientifically impossible invisibility is?

Black holes are invisible
So
Uh
Yeahhh

@yeetus

Why do people fight over religion which is essentially something you created yourselves?

Why does Disney's Beauty and the Beast preach the message of 'don't judge a book by its cover' when it's animated, a medium that relies on visual communication without words via character design and movement?

I meant for humans to be invisible. Black holes are invisible because even light can't escape their grip. But any other way is impossible unless we're talking about Solid Snake type camoflauge, which doesn't count.

See to be invisible we would have to be able to manipulate protons so that the eyes of any onlookers would be unable to see us. But that isn't possible because the protons wouldn't just be exempt from their sight, you'd make them blind while you were "invisible", (although if you ask me, that's a better power anyways. But to be invisible, you wouldn't have any protons around you to go into your eyes, which would also make you blind.

I should also make it clear that I was talking about how impossible it would be to function with the superpower of invisibility under the laws of physics.

Actually, scientifically, invisibility is possible with the careful manipulation of light waves.

These light waves/particles are photons.

I accidentally said protons in that paragraph, my bad, but I meant photons.

@Pandapocalypse

Lol science

Black holes aren't really invisible, just can't be seen by the naked eye. They can't be seen because they are so dense they absorb light, but at the same time because of the energy produce other type of wavelengths that can't be seen by human eyes but can be detected by special telescopes. (I researched this about 8 months ago, I have good memory but the details are rusty)

DO YOU EVER JUST-
QUESTION EXISTING?????
cuz I do, like, why do we exist??? and everything's gotta start somewhere, so how does the big bang make sense cuz,,,, where did the things for the big bang come from then???? if a god exists, where did they come from???
ALSO!!! this usually brings me to the thought, 'what if there is no start or beginning, and that's just a concept made up by humans?'
like, I'm going through a crisis here, join me.

These are everyday questions.

person_off

Yes, they are everyday questions. I too wonder, "What is the point of existence?" and then ponder it for days, until finally I realize what life, the universe, and everything is all about. "42!" I say triumphantly. I now have full understanding!

That was supposed to be mock-dramatic, lol. Spot the Hitchhiker's Guide reference, it isn't easy to miss.

@yeetus

What if we're all dead waiting to be reborn?

@Sugar-Lover

Do you ever wonder where you would be if you didn’t exist.

@yeetus

Sometimes
But then if I don't exist, I wouldn't know

@Sugar-Lover

That’s what makes it so confusing…

@yeetus

If you went back in time to kill Hitler, you shouldn't even try, because he didn't die. Like, history turned out it did, so in the past you have possibly already went and failed.
