types/examples of conflict between friends?

hey y'all! I have a group of friends in my story (3 men and 2 women, around age 22-ish).
I need two of the men to get into a conflict where one of them leaves for a bit/isolates himself in their shared house, but i can't come up with any good reasons.
They also need to be able to get close again (because they'll probably become a couple), so it can't be like… murder or something xd

What are some good examples?

Edit; the women are gay so cheating or something isn't an option

  • A misinterpreted/poorly phrased comment
  • Forgetting something he'd been told repeatedly to write down and remember
  • Doing something reckless like driving drunk or doing drugs
  • Falling back into a bad habit he had otherwise dropped
  • A more "casual" crime, like shoplifting/stealing. Something that's still illegal and bad, but not murder
  • Picking a fight with someone (physical or verbal)

-A problem needs to be solved but they have conflicting plans for how to solve it
-A difference in political/religious/moral opinion that seemed important at the time but maybe wasn't
-One of them does something dangerous/rash and that angers the other one because it scared them
-One of them is ignorant of some major part of the other's life/past, and this ignorance causes a rift between them until they really talk about it
-They butt heads over whether another member of their group is trustworthy
