Universal Character Q&A

Ok, so I know there’s been a trend of making Q&A threads for specific characters. That’s great, and I know it's a great way to flesh out your characters, but the problem is that those threads are taking up a large part of the character forums and myself as well as a couple other users are getting a bit frustrated with those threads constantly drowning out other discussions (see this thread)

This thread is basically an attempt to clean things up a bit by confining all those Q&A threads into one. If you’ve already made a thread for your character, I have just as much authority as everyone else on this site (so basically I don't have any) and I can’t force you to stop using it. All I ask is that you just be considerate towards other users. This thread is just an attempt to tidy things up while also ensuring that you guys can still have fun. It's also meant to be inclusive to all users so anyone can jump in at any time.

How it will work:

• In this thread, there will be two types of question. An “open question” is a question that can be answered by any character belonging to any user. They can be answered by as many users and characters. The other type is one that is directed at a specific character (or characters). These questions can only be answered by that specific character.
• An open question should be something that can be answered by most characters, regardless of who they belong to. For example “what’s your favourite colour?” “What is your hometown like?” “When is your birthday?”
• Character specific questions should be… well, tailored to that character. Good example: “Hey Andor, why did you decide to dye your hair purple?” Bad example: “Hey Andor, what’s your favourite colour?”
• There is no limit as to how many characters you can use in this thread. If you have 180 characters that you want people to ask about then go for it. If you only want to use one, that’s also cool.
• For some extra fun, you can ask questions in character. This is optional, but if you do choose to do this please remember that this is not a role play thread, and any further interactions between characters should be kept to a minimum.
• All answers should be in character, but you can elaborate OOC if necessary.

But Starfast, I want people to ask about my characters specifically
I hear ya, and I've thought about that. If you want people to ask about your characters, then you can trade questions. This is pretty much what it sounds like— just make a post saying that you want to trade questions. When people start asking your characters questions, you ask theirs in return. If it’s been a while and no one has asked you anything, let me know and I’ll try to ask some questions so that no one gets ignored. I’d recommend keeping your character pages set to public so that if anyone wants to trade questions with you they have some material to work with.
Also, you don’t have to be trading questions in order to ask character specific questions. Those can be asked at any time.

“Welcome to the Universal Character Q&A. What’s your name? Why don’t you tell us a little bit about yourself?”

My name is Zenith Zagami. I’m 17 years old, my favorite color is red, and I have a kill count in the thousands. What’s your name?

I’m Empirean. I don’t have too much in the kill count stuff, and I’d prefer to keep it that way - but my mother has wiped out several dimensions, so that counts, right? Of course, there’s been the unavoidable stuff, like falling on buildings, but we’ll ignore that. Uh.. I’m also one of the two surviving members of my species. At least the pure breed, there’s still other subspecies as far as I’m aware.

So for an open question.. what species are you? Like, what are you exactly?

Victor: H-hi, everyone, my name's Victor and I'm a chemist. Kinda. I'm in college to do chemistry. And I do it at home, sometimes, but not as much because of insurance. Anyways, I have…three friends? Alice, Jackson, and I guess Martha and Geneva too, so four. And Claire, but she's my sister so she doesn't really count. And Henry, my boyfriend, if he counts too? I'm not very good at this. Anyways, what's your major, if you're in college?

I guess if you count fighting creatures of similar size as wars, then yes, I have been in them. Of course, I've also been around for one Earth World War, so there's that. There was also the big kaiju war that I was kinda in when I was a child, but that didn't last too long. I tend to have different definitions of war compared to smaller beings.

I don't really play games too often. Mostly because I'm so large. But I did play games when I was young, like hide and seek, and simple strategy games.

I also don't really have a favourite song. I was told the natives of my home dimension would do drums, chanting in a theme of a certain kaiju, but they're extinct now, so I don't really have a theme. But I'm sure if I did have a theme, then that would be my favourite.

I suppose you could consider me a ‘Defender of Earth’, and that speaks for itself. Though I have caused destruction of it a few times I was also not myself, so consider me a Defender, I suppose? And a Fighter.

I guess concerning the superhero spectrum I wouldn't know. Probably chaotic good though, with expectations.
Well..Form? I suppose it would be called my Celestial Form, which is what my mother used to defeat a being called Jiimaru - who is labelled as indestructible, by the by. It is only activated automatically during an eclipse. A close second, or perhaps even greater, is a form in which can only be used if very specific conditions are met. I do not have a name for it yet. While using it, I also risk killing myself. To explain it, I absorb enough heat and radiation, which further improves my abilities. Creatures large like me generally feed on radiation, though we are capable of eating biological creatures. And many different food sources. I have a main ability in this form, my Thermal Pulse, which annihilates everything in the radius, and a strengthened version of my EMP. Of course, I eventually need to either retreat to a large body of water to cool down or my home dimension, lest I have a meltdown, which wouldn't be good for the area or me.
My Status?
Alive of course..oh, uh wait.
I guess a lot of people call me the Heir to the New Worldan breed. Mostly because everyone of my breed was wiped out and only my mother and I remain, so it's up to me to find another Worldan breed and begin a new breed, a hybrid breed. So I guess I'm a leader of some sorts? I don't know.

I don't really have a favourite. I suppose it's either my home dimension, or the one with planet earth in it. Never really paid attention to names. My version of Earth is somewhat advanced and they're working on some giant mechs last time I checked. There's also giant monsters in both of my favourite dimensions, so there's that.
My home dimension is sort of dead, but it has enough population to not fall apart on itself. It's been rebuilding, slowly but surely.
