Does anyone know how to write a good sibling dynamic between totally opposite characters? Like Jane is a clumsy, loud, in-your-face, spontaneous ball of energy, and Scott is a quiet, fun-loving, and graceful in a weird way.
They're literally two opposite people, and I'm attempting to write a good sibling dynamic between them, but I'm struggling. Help is appreciated!
look at how other people have written sibling dynamics between two opposites. Analyze them. What makes it good?
It's like yin and yang
One thing I enjoy doing when I have a close relationship between two characters is having them randomly burst out laughing together in the middle of an otherwise really normal situation, and have all the other characters really confused about what they’re laughing about, it’s an endearing thing that most people can relate to.

Even when they are opposites they have one thing in common they love each other and bring out the best in each other as well. I have a sibling like that
With opposite personalties, it’s good to remember that even though they are opposites, they still have to have things in common, especially since they’re siblings and most likely had similar life experiences.
Not only that, but opposite personalities compliment each other, so janes loudness is going to help Scott’s quietness stand out, and his gracefulness is going to point out janes clumsiness, and so on and so forth. This is most likely going to be a big part in their relationship.
Due to be siblings, they’re probably going to understand each other better than most people, they’re going to most likely have similar ideas, likes and dislikes, just similar thoughts in general

My sister and I couldn't be further apart with personalities (she's very organized and focused while I sort of go with the flow) but we're very close. The relationship isn't that different from that with my best friend except that she has the habit of acting like a second mom where she lovingly tells me how to lead my life. On the other hand, I make fun of her little habits as well. Basically: friends + the habit of criticizing and reprimanding in a loving way. Can be very annoying at times.
Siblings have a lot of inside jokes because they have usually known each other for a long time. This amount of time spent together also makes it easier to open up about your own worries or to say something about the way others handle things. It's a built-in shoulder to cry on or to go to for help/advice. That's when siblings have a good relationship.
For bad relationships….. I know people as well. Those siblings also know each other for a long time but are often more prone to bottling up their emotions until a breaking point where everything gets out at once and the bonds deteriorate even further. However, unlike with you no longer want to deal with, you can't just break off all ties because you know a lot of the same people and you have the same parents which means that as long as those people exist and are a part of your life as well you will keep on meeting and hearing about your other sibling.
Sometimes these bonds improve over time but depending on how bad it is it might take a big event for siblings to actually start talking with each other again, such as the death of a parent.
