What is the difference between mannerisms and personality type?

I know its a stupid question, but I am really confused.

Mannerisms covers more common behaviors a character has. Habits, movement quirks, things like "this character runs their hands through their hair while nervous" or "this character slouches while walking". Personality type is more like emotional reactions, the character's approach to life, whether a character is analytical or acts based on feelings, things like that. Sometimes personality type can also refer specifically to things like MBTI type.
